Moderating

I want to hear feedback from the EM community and I'd like to know what you'd like to see happening in the moderation team. This is a thread that everyone is welcome to express their likes/dislikes about the team, what needs to be improved, what should stay the same, what should be HC/ what shouldn't.. just a few examples.

I'm asking for constructive criticism, please don't be rude. This is the first step into making the moderation team better and it would really help getting the communities insight on thing.

-What changes would make the mod team better?

-Do you guys believe people are reporting out of spite instead of actually being offended?

Like even if you were plotting my demise the whole time I think we were still........

To be fair everyone was and then in return everyone was planning mine...
The Modpocalypse with Lycii and Annajane was great.

Moderate racism in game and leave it at that. Forums moderate HC like it is now imo.
because every other distinction which people discriminate based on doesn't matter.

i used to think removing HC would be good but i mean im not that callous as to where i want people spouting the n word left and right with no repercussion, or more or less actually being genuinely hateful

i just think that the big one that is being hit the most is people calling each other the r word, and really at this point you should just stop the whole thing when it comes to games, but if you want to violate it when people do it on forums or in public where adsense matters, by all means do it.

I don't think you should moderate HC in game. On the threads, sure if it gets Lucid adsense or whatever. In game should be free reign.

I will say to keep in mind that the vast, vast majority of community suggestions are awful and the amount of posts with thoughtful, valid critiques is a few orders of magnitude less than number of posts with objectively incorrect garbage.

This thread is no different and the majority of posts can probably be safely discarded by the end.
My thesis is corroborated in less than 7 pages. New record.
