I want to hear feedback from the EM community and I'd like to know what you'd like to see happening in the moderation team. This is a thread that everyone is welcome to express their likes/dislikes about the team, what needs to be improved, what should stay the same, what should be HC/ what shouldn't.. just a few examples.
I'm asking for constructive criticism, please don't be rude. This is the first step into making the moderation team better and it would really help getting the communities insight on thing.
-What should be HC? What shouldn't?
-Should HC consequences change?
-What changes would make the mod team better?
-Do you guys believe people are reporting out of spite instead of actually being offended?

yeah, but couldnt someone report the games themselves since theres links to them?
HC isn't going to change and the reasoning for this is pretty clear. that means theres about 0-tolerance in this respect because its nice to say the rule is there to stop people being hurt over the internet, but its there for a more monetary reason imo and any chance for somebody to lose money is going to off an owner
that being said: moderation/administration needs to start enforcing it properly rather than either allowing or giving leniency towards violations of this.
most of the complaints about HC usually stem from biased moderation. aka a mod bending the rules in order to vio somebody they don't like, or mods not being consistent on what they vio for (someone gets a vio for saying the c word, while another doesn't)

because you're on the internet and there is nothing to lose by saying the r word given you don't have a personal relationship with most of these people and it's not like your reputation is forever tarnished because you trolled moderators
there's just a really simple solution of considering who is reporting and what, much like any other game that should be moderated. mods can just be lazy about it though (like i've said) and slap HC just using ctrl+f and finding all the bad slurs. it's braindead.

Dude that was HILARIOUS. Lycii emailing Lucid and then Annajane losing her stuff about Lycii being admin, and then us making Lycii be removed. High five, man.
Look, the way HC is moderated is that everyone is just getting creative and going around it and making new words and phrases that still have the same obvious intent. I see a need for it being moderated on Forums and having it super strict but I just don't see a resolution that doesn't drive everyone completely bonkers for in game moderation.
just have faith in humanity and dont moderate HC, moderate HARRASSMENT

im not saying just tone back on the r word but look at HC with more context. usually people get pissed in games and call each other the r word and plenty of other hateful because they want to get under their skin or they're angry at their decisions.
