We all know mods are been suggesting by the other mods etc
So what about a new system to elect new moderators
A new section in the forums where all moderator applications will be posted and on those applications Epicmafia can vote on so its more fair choosing the mod for epicmafia by the players of epicmafia
So its -1 votes or +1 votes with a reason why you downvote or upvote
This will highly stop mods suggesting only friends
A mod should be choosed by the players of epicmafia and not the mods themselves
Current template i thought up
Main account:(Whats your main account)
Alternate accounts:(Your alternate accounts)
Why would you be a good mod(explanition why you be a good mod)
What would you do if three poeple gets into a fight with eachother(explaining how you would handle it)
Do you have any prior experience being a mod?
Did you contribute something to the community
Your timezone:
Langauges you speak(sometimes there are games with other langauges but very uncommonly)
Age:(how old are you in real life)
HEY LOOK A TEMPLATE^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

i don't care. mods are separate from users, for better and for worse. denying it is delusional

Why does Wheelocks take so long to get through every declension, I literally flipped to the back of the book and memorized the declension tables in a few days.

Not only that a new account doesn't mean a new player it can be somoene that made a new one cuz they got sick of the old one

That's an actual good idea. Maybe, tbh, you should come up with more ideas instead of bashing other peoples ideas without full understanding
what exactly about making modding a popularity contest makes sense? the more you incentivize modding as a status upgrade and power play, the less good mods you will get. this will lead to nightmare mod choices.

sinek8 has been around for a very long time. Not that that actually has any real bearing on how good someone is as a moderator (whether you take newbies who became great mods like mantys, or oldies who became awful mods like Tonkster).
Bear did a good job separating himself from the community again there, though.

But they have their view in justice and thats what i respect

I've been here at least a year

let's have an EM electoral college where we vote in people we think are good judges of character who then decide on moderators.
ok maybe jonsnow too. but sinek8 and braixen are no's because they have not been here long enough to know....anything and judging from their posting here they just want power.

Also, JonSnow can't mod, they're too busy being resurrected.

Spoiler alert jonsnow dies

this is on the level of trial mods, but it's giving an unreasonable amount of power to the community.

Whilst true, I'm not entirely sure how that's relevant though, Bear

You wouldn't know what I think, since you ignore me anyways.
Oh and by the way. Mods should also be willing to take hate for giving the appropriate vio. So I don't know why you guys are worrying about that. Right now, we are trying to get this democratic system in because mods right now are taking hate for NOT giving the appropriate vio and are also accused of being corrupt.
I am listening and this is what you said and this is what Croned said isn't the issue.
You did say "Braixen thinks the opposite". You made it a part of the issue.
people who have never been mod have no clue what modding is like and will take. this isn't elitism, this is a commonly agreed upon fact by anyone who has been here a decent length of time.

the word unbiased doens't apply to humans, because every human being has some sort of bias. If you want an unbiased individual make a robot the admin
smarterchild
free gimmick idea...
make the account smarterchild and act like him

I don't think we're discussing moving to a democratic mod system because people get angry at the decisions mods make on reports. I think we're discussing it because it feels like the community has little to no input as to who should represent the site and be a mod.
Okay, well Braixen thinks the opposite.
You wouldn't know what I think, since you ignore me anyways. This is the kinda stuff that makes me mad. When people try to take parts of what I say then make assumptions from just that and not all of what I say. It's not that I'm thinking the opposite, but I'm thinking of a completely different reason. I'm not saying "The community shouldn't have a say at all".
