We all know mods are been suggesting by the other mods etc
So what about a new system to elect new moderators
A new section in the forums where all moderator applications will be posted and on those applications Epicmafia can vote on so its more fair choosing the mod for epicmafia by the players of epicmafia
So its -1 votes or +1 votes with a reason why you downvote or upvote
This will highly stop mods suggesting only friends
A mod should be choosed by the players of epicmafia and not the mods themselves
Current template i thought up
Main account:(Whats your main account)
Alternate accounts:(Your alternate accounts)
Why would you be a good mod(explanition why you be a good mod)
What would you do if three poeple gets into a fight with eachother(explaining how you would handle it)
Do you have any prior experience being a mod?
Did you contribute something to the community
Your timezone:
Langauges you speak(sometimes there are games with other langauges but very uncommonly)
i try not to let this stuff bother me, lucid owns the site and he's allowed to do whatever he wants with it. i fundamentally disagree with mod elections, but it isn't the end of the world. the bigger issue to me is everyone's perception of the mods, because they're all good people, a pleasure to work with, and work really hard.

I think people do look for honesty. The latter, perhaps not so much, but people who can't work in a team will be poor mods who lose elections. At least they'd have had the chance to impress.
it's nothing major, i'm just starting to think that i'm not able to give enough time to the site, and i'm going to start having even less free time in a few weeks.
my opinion on this is that the two biggest qualities when looking for a mod are trustworthiness and being able to work well with a team. i don't think that'll translate well in an election, because that's not what most users look for.

i haven't given my opinion for a reason
Is it because admins publicly giving opinions that don't agree with lucid's opinion don't usually last as admins for long? ;)
that doesn't really matter to me, i'm not going to last that long anyway.
huhhh whatchu mean, you've done a lot for epicmafia
i think you mean fill me in. you probably shouldn't say "fill me up" and "circlejerk" in the same sentence.
so what is your legitimate opinion on this thread

Agreed. If this site was a video based mafia game website, I could understand it. But TEXT-BASED? Wow, who'd wanna mod that.

if this thread reached 100 pages i'd be wondering what half of this site is doing with their lives, arguing who should be moderator on a ruby mafia site
Well, you've just answered the question you'd be wondering, so I'm wondering why you'd be wondering about that.
Who would ever want to voluntarily moderate a text based mafia game website
tbh me.
