The shootings

ICouldBeYourDadover 8 years ago

So there's been a lot of shooting recently and the president isnt doing about it.

Australia had its worst mass shooting in 1996 on the 28th of April. 12 days later australia announced a bipartisan deal on sweeping gun control measures. The government brought back and destroyed over a million guns. We (australia) haven't had a mass shooting since.

Why is Trump not doing anything. Children are dying. People aren't living their full lives. If comforting those who have been through trauma and lost loved ones is all they can do b*llfucking sh*t. If saying it will be okay to those victims then saying that to gun owners should be fine too.

Sorry im just annoyed with how this has all been going down.

Honestly I’m doing research on short selling right now since I wanna lose a few grand this summer or make a few, can we talk about the risk factors in that instead of this boring topic ?
i dont F with anything like that, investments i make will always be safe broad selections of the S&P or something that have a guaranteed growth of 7-10% per year, i suggest people who dont have careers related to investing to do the same and not fk with anything else

and seeing as black people are viewed by non black people as generally threatening subconsciously i can see legislators taking a similar route on barring their access even though white people are the ones being problematic with guns right now (cops, shooters)

if stories about shootings die down gun control hype will die down and it wont be at the forefront of the publics general attention, like, ever which is what the nra wants
Don’t gun sales shoot up (lol) after every school/ public shooting though ?? And whenever there’s serious talks of gun control (sike) in the senate he same sales also shoot up (lol)
dunno havnt researched it, but i generally dont think NRA would be opposed to quashing their opposition

my point is any anti gun legislation that is simply just that, is simply gonna be used as yet ANOTHER weapon in the continous destroction against black communities
probably lol, strict laws on doing/purchasing/participating in anything (i.e. voter ID laws) usually target subsets of the population in which it's statistically more likely that more black people will be effected per capita

@Devante how many articles like this http://foreignpolicy.com/2018/01/30/is-a-court-case-in-texas-the-first-prosecution-of-a-black-identity-extremist/ do u think exist in the context of white supremacy and white gun ownership advocates
I already know the fbi is racist, as are American law makers . What do u want me to weigh in on this for?

There’s a cool doccuseries I was shown about them creating a Terrorist here in Canada too, by a friend of mine. I think u linked something similar in this thread aswel.

Agreed, they care bout dem NRA $DOLLAZ$$$
government could censor news about shootings without upsetting the NRA, NRA might actually like it
Dude lawmakers tried to make it so u had to be 20 to get a gun in Florida and nra sued.

When the media covers these stories ppl get scared and buy guns. NRA Feeds off the fears of citizens . Stop living in his bubble where u believe the NRA cares about what’s best for Americans

i wonder what aspect of us society make its high schools so unbearable? maybe pitting kids against each other in a race for an idealized sucess in a hypercompetitive environment is bad, and maybe that environment is connected to capitalism hmm i wonder who has made that point before
i think it's the cafeteria food

in the context of his world he's going to feel extremely marginalized, whether or not you actually hold that to be objective fact is irrelevant, i'm not saying that white men are oppressed in any way
him feeling marginalized doesnt make him marginalized
doesnt matter in this scenario b/c this is what's affecting psyche of individuals and motivating shootings, im utterly disinterested in hashing out this point in this context

if u wanna say social outcast im ok with that, but marginalized oppressed have meaning that these mass shooters simply do not apply

theres 0 point in the news cycle covering what their motives were or even being interested in them, posting elliot's manifesto means "98% of people who sees this think he's crazy, 2% of them are the choir he's preaching to and decide to shoot up schools themselves"
I mean dude me and u literally discussed the uni bomber . The stats u said are the same for him . 98% of ppl will be like this is some crazy old guy who lived in a log cabin 2% of ppl will be like “yo this guy has a point”

At the end of the day it’s the media’s literal M.O to report news and sht like that is news
