I suggest that we add closed roles in main. Why, you may ask, as it's the thing that Sandbox is known for.
It is. However, Sandbox is also known for being a lobby in which very few people actually cares about what happens and thus the games get full of trolls, and people that just dont play the game properly.
And there are quite a few people that would enjoy playing closed roles setups with a bit more of seriousness. people that don't think there is a strategy for closed roles setups cleary havent played them enough, as in the ocassional serious sandbox games that happen now and then, there is a lot of tactics, role knowing, and speculation people can do, and it actually can be quite interesting.
Closed roles can't be used in ranked games, so it wouldn't ruin the competition in any way.
Yes, I know not everyone takes games seriously in Main either if they are unranked, but in overall, the userbase here is more game-oriented than in sandbox.
People in main that just don't like closed roles games can just... not play closed roles games, so that wouldn't really be an issue either.
idk, i think its worth arguing about it, unless there is a specific reason why they are not a thing here that im missing, which could be.
But more importantly, you're giving examples of play which can occur in any basic setup, not limited to closed roles, nor does it contribute to the sustainability of closed role in a competitive setting.
bronto was a great admin if you exclude his setup sensitivity and the merge. but the merge was not a mistake at first, i think it made a lot of people realize that comp isnt something you can NEVER grow into (plus comp was srsly dying) and that if you're good enough you dont have to pace yourself at a crazy rate. or else you'd end up like zwink with 3000 fancy pants games, but now, competitive has become much less competitive and its perfectly acceptable nowadays for people who hardly even know mechanics to play, lose, get no refund or anything
its always a good idea to hold on to your gun as sniper to take a win from a lylo, but have you considered it also gives you a reasonable amount of time to gather whether a deputy has claimed
and despite what most people think, samurai is a very viable role in closed role setups with zombies and cults because they have a fairly high probability of rolling as well as masons which can give samurai and alibi

Do you think OP wears a diaper in anticipation of topics getting derailed?
you can even get chef lynched if you're their first meet since they have nobody to fall back on, or better yet using your partner as backup if their previous meet was killed
I use toilet paper in a really systematic way. First I make sure to take enough toilet paper so my fingers never reach my a'sshole. Then I fold it 3-4 times. Wipe. Fold again. Wipe. Fold again until I run out of room and have to grab more toilet paper
Sounds like you have a huge asshôle. That's a lot of bog roll.
very interesting etherealfan. i used to do that as well, until i bought a fancy toilet that washes my butthole for me everytime i relieve myself. then i go over it with a baby wipe, put on my diaper and play mafia. then i sht myself if i lose and whine about the merge.
speaking of the merge, what do you guys think of the merge? or anything unrelated to OP
i've played unranked games here without circlejerks, and yeah, not as many as i played sandbox games, but still quite enough so that id figure if there was a circlejerk.
i think you are just applying the same logic than sandbox users usually do, thinking that the people in the forums/chats are the only people around when those are actually the minority
roles like cthulhu, granny, and tree can claim blanket prs like dreamer or caroled to lure mafia and mafia can use their prs to verify those claims and deduce the probability of a legitimate claim either through the accuracy of the fake reports or what they know other roles to be

do you crumble or fold your toilet paper?

the thing is that training lobby is STILL training lobby as much as competitive lobby was competitive, therefore there are a looooot of new players who dont know anything and would be absolutely terrible at closed roles therefore making the serious factor go down the toilet
