We all know mods are been suggesting by the other mods etc
So what about a new system to elect new moderators
A new section in the forums where all moderator applications will be posted and on those applications Epicmafia can vote on so its more fair choosing the mod for epicmafia by the players of epicmafia
So its -1 votes or +1 votes with a reason why you downvote or upvote
This will highly stop mods suggesting only friends
A mod should be choosed by the players of epicmafia and not the mods themselves
Current template i thought up
Main account:(Whats your main account)
Alternate accounts:(Your alternate accounts)
Why would you be a good mod(explanition why you be a good mod)
What would you do if three poeple gets into a fight with eachother(explaining how you would handle it)
Do you have any prior experience being a mod?
Did you contribute something to the community
Your timezone:
Langauges you speak(sometimes there are games with other langauges but very uncommonly)
Age:(how old are you in real life)

Maybe it be time now to be implented poeple are getting sick of the current system
also the general community wouldn't have to work alongside the mods that they elected. the strength of the mod team is almost entirely dependent on how well they work together as a team and can communicate with eachother. a mod candidate with outstanding potential will never be able to fulfill that if they don't sit well with the rest of the team, hence why it's more beneficial for the mod team to mod people they can communicate with effectively

I think both sides can at the very least admit there are some mods that are fair and some that should have never been modded and the only reason their name is up there or ever was up there even once was because they were in the circle and nothing else.
LOL, Well I dont know if we need an 'elite' group like in your oscar awars example, but if we do mods are clearly not going to that group.

This counts for the whole site for every player that plays it a mod can cause a player never to play if he/she is really corrupt Thats why it shoukd be chosren by the playerbase
mods understand what it takes to be a good mod much better than the generalized community who have no experience

there have been people who were suggested and were not accepted because "a mod didn't like them". I was in a party game, wish I had screenies of the pregame, but I saw it and that's disgusting tbh. The only reason the person wasn't modded was just that one reason. Someone, just a one, who was already a mod, didn't. like. the. person. It's bias either way, but tbh I'd rather everything be out in the open to at least look at than have you guys in your round table go "na because I don't like him lololololol"

We all also love self moderating them on thins like this https://epicmafia.com/report/146013 honestly self moderation shouldn't be allowed which can be charged with vio's faster because that person that self moderates him like that one report i just linked that was just the word theres like million of poeple that says you etc but they don't get reported for hatefull comments do they? Self moderation shouldn't be allowed other moderators should moderate it instead
Pure democracy would not be a smooth solution since we are on the internet and people like to troll (ex: See sims. The biggest troll on this website.). But, It still would be a lot better than current system. I dont know how will this poll end up, but right now there are more than ten 'yes' votes, and only one 'no' vote to this. And the only 'no' one vote belong to an known member of a gamethrow team who is being protected by corrupt mods.
I think, the fact that everything happens behind closed doors irritates people. Maybe if the admin and his mod team would share with the community the reasons why they picked someone as a moderator would be helpful.
