Basically what I'm hearing here is Giga killed competitive
giga just because shivv accumulated a lot of harassment vios at the time doesn't mean anything, that's how the game was played back in the day and we both know it, when you were playing competition you ate a lot more severely than you do now, i had i believe 2 harassment vios and 1 HC at 1 point, it's just not knowing if someone was gonna be a punk and report it.
I even think Shivv reported me at one time and then he retracted the report because i told him it would get me banned if a mod gave me the vio.
How he plays in games / on the forums doesn't mean he would've been bad at teaching players the game as a whole as long as you told him not to have players just constantly belittle others
https://epicmafia.com/topic/63253?page=1also me too i was rejected multiple times
I got rejected to be a mentor; too.
For the record I always (always) asked the opinion of the other mentors when I chose mentors. I asked the mentors at that time about Shivv and it was 80/20 (percent) in favour of no iirc
I'm not a mentor. I want to be a mentor. I may not be the best, but I'd focus on my task and do stuff.
I'm not a mentor but I sometimes give advices to people who ask me. I think that should be done more...
He would be good at advanced level mentoring but I refused to let someone as hostile as him into the program when it was my program.
Also the majority of stuff happens in PMs anyway so more gets done than meets the eye.
Would he have been a bad mentor yes or no? You have

over him? who do you think was more likely to make at least 2 potential players become really good at the game any of the above or Shivv?
People learn at their own rate. Some people enjoy FP and there are different levels of mentorship
Anthony taught me how to play comp well... so me I guess
There's a reason I never made him a mentor. You can't count how many HC/Harassment violations he's had on your fingers.

They haven't even been on the site inva year yet they're all still mentors somehow
