I think it's pretty ridiculous that you guys let former cheaters trophy run at all, even if they aren't cheating anymore. The only remotely forgivable cheater is Anthony and he is the exception that proves the rule.

what about me? its been 3 years. :o

you gotta realise people learn their lesson and it would be unfair to say x doesn't deserve a chance but y does. ofc if they abuse it then byebye for another 6 months~

I'm not contradicting myself at all. Do I like Anthony? Sure. Do I think he's a good mafia player? Better than me. Do I think he should be allowed to trophy run? No, because he knowingly participated in stealing a trophy from someone else who earned it.

thats what a 6 month ban from lobby/running is for. hell of a long punishment

There was a huge cheating ring involved and we wanted to make sure we banned every single one, which is why it took a while.

so, the solution would be to make a thread where past cheaters have to announce their intentions to run in whilst making it clear who they are. that way, all eyes will be on them throughout the round and any ex-cheaters who try to run w/o making a post first will be blocked from taking trophies.

anthony didn't really "cheat" he was pressured into throwing for someone who lied about cancer for like 1-2 games. not his best moment but on the spectrum of cheating intensity this sits at the very bottom

Ferhunde not being dealt with before the round ended was a combination of him not being in a position to win a trophy, things being worked on behind the scenes, and me wanting to ban his entire cheating ring all at the same time.

Tbh if I'd known Faithless was Sidekick before the round ended it would've been an interesting enough case for me to investigate it last round.

well, flex being prevail did become apparent before the round was over, but the overall slowness of the holidays probably played a part in that mess as well.

faithless being sidekick wasn't well known. flex being prevail wasn't well known. ferhunde didn't run on a secret account and was pretty much spotted as a cheater in days. the only reason it took all around for a ban because she gave up half way through and wasn't near the top anymore. seems to me like maybe the issue is past cheaters running on secret identities, not past cheaters running alltogether.

My two cents' worth would be to prohibit players that had previously cheated together to be playing with each other in competitive games and disallow them from playing on alts until let's say 3 months (to have shown reformation).

Ferhunde made her bio a screenshot of vancy unbanning her and her avatar a chick rolling her eyes. She was proud to be cheating and frankly it's really crazy that it took all round for the mods to catch a cheater who wanted to be caught.

I like Anthony a lot but I am firm in my principles, and I think 3 rounds in a row of former cheaters cheating with sidekick actually getting away with it twice is enough to outweigh any forgiveness I might have for Anthony

Basically everyone in the forums kept an eye on Ferhunde last round and agreed that she was cheating, yet she wasn't banned until the round was over

i've got a solution. how about past cheaters have to inform the mods when they plan to trophy run and mods just keep a close eye on their games?? that seems like an everybody wins solution to me.
