Is this a policy? No matter how one trolls or ruins the game, moderators never refund it? Its this some god damn conspiracy or something? Why when someone trolls, gets a gt vio, and is suspended there is no Refund? Why no one ever gives refunds, if someone in the game gets a vio??????????
I mean literally, You are giving points to a winning side, that won only because of the troll/gt user :/ And you encorage such gameplay.
Why not for instance... Remove the player with violation Off the Round, and refund the game!
P.S. If someone gets a Violation through a round, i think its just fair, he to be removed from the round. I don't like players that get a GT vio for 24 hours come back after those 24 hours just to throw again.
Well, I'm way late for this thread and we're probably on a completely different topic now. But I'll say my piece.
Refunds should only apply if the rule breaker was the main reason their team lost. Sometimes, the GT is blatant but it didn't have much of an affect on a game, these types of games shouldn't need a refund.
It would suck to, lets say, be mafia and the gamethrower didn't claim pr when they were being lynched on an ml. Great. Now you have to survive till the end of the game only to have the game refunded. And if you lose? Well that sucks, town won anyways why refund it.
If someone said something similar to this already I'm sorry etc

the reason no one knows the rules is because they are wordy as hell

Bring the wiki back.
Alternatively, add more information to the "Learn" tab.
most new players learn the rules by either 1. word of mouth (unreliable) or 2. getting a violation themselves, the latter which would probably scare them from playing again i think there's an underlying issue here of new players having no guidance. cough cough wiki

Shut up Connor you scrounger
deleteddeletedover 11 years ago
my biggest peeve was when "scrounging" was thrown around like it was going out of style for legitimate reports. it's was the stupidest and most obnoxious thing ever, behind legitimate scrounging

Ehhh, there would be some trouble if someone who usually makes bad reports does so unintentionally and we disable them from making reports.
This should only be used on people like that one guy that started with an "L" (obviously can't remember the name) who reported bronto about 50 times a day with slurs

Refund for trolling in games, and give the troll a vio as well. Problem solved. Are people encouraging trolling in games?

honestly it's a thought in my mind but a key where you can disable someone from making reports would be splendid.
honestly this is a stroke of genius and i have just found a surefire way to lessen the amount of reports from users such as abc or someone who has known to abuse the report system
someone page dr. wang
Been considered before. Would be too rare to really be of much use. If someone files 10 dodgy reports in a round, during which time 1000 reports are filed, it doesn't exactly look like spam.
It's still scrounging though.

NOT. YET.

im fine with that too, i can see it turning into complaints

a force log out key to be used to people who need to go outside sounds like a better idea

Honestly, a force log out key would work better, and that sort of key would just lead to all kinds of complaints. The one benefit I see from it is that we could give people a second report spamming violation without outright banning them.

as a former competitive player who is now dead, i would report games that i thought were ruined by vio-behavior. like nevermaf GTing against me. haha i banned nevermaf that was sweet.
