Just remove it..... I like seeing caps, it makes it fun, and after 7 years i don't wanna change how i decide to talk sometimes in games. At least make the filter an OPTION instead of randomly imposing it on active users... Not everybody hates caps enough for them to be eliminated completely
Don't fix what ain't broke, people have been fine here for over a decade already so I'm not sure why randomly this became a thing
Now we can't even say swears. Remove the filters for caps lock and swearing, and only filter hate speech.

Sometimes you can tell how emotional or genuine somebody is when they're using caps lock. It's a part of the game and shouldn't be removed. It's an in-game tool that the grand majority of users use at times in games. Removing it on a whim is silly
there's a difference between making the site newbie-friendly and making this some awful town of salem type game where swears are replaced with "tarnation" and various other nonsense, caps lock is not going to stop new players from playing and silly phrases just make this look like a game for 8 year olds
that's like saying cotton picker is a forbidden slur because it's wildly offensive in certain contexts. doesn't change the fact that it's a damn piece of farm machinery.
asfsdgfsg who what where why it's a latin rooted word used to describe crossdressering of course it's offensive when used to refer to trans people that doesnt make it a slur.
I agree that we should make caps a toggle option. Sometimes, all caps could be used for emphasis. It's pretty annoying to add a bunch of lowercase characters after each post you want to all caps in just to make the number of capital letters less than 50% or whatever that percentage is.
