Caps Filter

Just remove it..... I like seeing caps, it makes it fun, and after 7 years i don't wanna change how i decide to talk sometimes in games. At least make the filter an OPTION instead of randomly imposing it on active users... Not everybody hates caps enough for them to be eliminated completely

Don't fix what ain't broke, people have been fine here for over a decade already so I'm not sure why randomly this became a thing

Now we can't even say swears. Remove the filters for caps lock and swearing, and only filter hate speech.

what makes you think that whining on about it for ten more pages will make him consider it more as opposed to just ignoring the threads and the issue

He's already agreed to revamp the word filter to a list that removes slurs but isn't draconian, and he's seen the arguments for removing the caps filter and replacing it with a more effective spam filter.

yeah ok fair. i was trying to emphasis the difference in obnoxiousness between 1 caps line and 4 but this makes sense.

Hey Phil, thanks for all your hard work on this website when it isn't necessary on your behalf given your profession. I don't think this feature is exactly necessary myself though.

the spam filter doesn't really stop that immediately, you can get away with saying it like 5 or so times, plus it doesn't specifically apply to saying the same thing afaik, it's just rapidly sending messages in general

alright, i'll reconsider caps later this week ok? but the hate speech filter is definitely going to make it into the game

i'll also be adding full emoji support soon, so you can find other ways to express yourself than just cap screaming when people don't listen to you lol
