You are standing by train tracks. A train is heading towards 5 people on the tracks. If you pull a lever, the train will switch to another track with only 1 person on it. Which would you do?
Any suggestion that encourages being an inconvenience to users based on the (uncontrolled) geographic location of their beings, even if they were the minority, would only drive the website into further loss
You also don't even have any hard data regarding how many people are not EST versus who are EST, so your assumption is actually a guess, at best, and, therefore, is stupid
To put things into perspective: from around 11 pm EST -> 11 am EST there are........ less than 30 comp games played , however 11 am -> 11 pm there are more than 60 comp games played
Those are just quick numbers I made up to get the point across but yeah that’s essentially all I’m sayin lol
Peak EST times = Peak site times since majority of the users of the site play during EST time & as a result this time is when most games are affected by a site shutdown

it sucks that the rounds are extended because of lucid's f/ckery but lots of people play during est night and it would be unfair to only pause it if it's down during est day
