So there's been a lot of shooting recently and the president isnt doing about it.
Australia had its worst mass shooting in 1996 on the 28th of April. 12 days later australia announced a bipartisan deal on sweeping gun control measures. The government brought back and destroyed over a million guns. We (australia) haven't had a mass shooting since.
Why is Trump not doing anything. Children are dying. People aren't living their full lives. If comforting those who have been through trauma and lost loved ones is all they can do b*llfucking sh*t. If saying it will be okay to those victims then saying that to gun owners should be fine too.

we absolutely need a mental healthcare overhaul in america, but it's an easy scapegoat that republicans use while supporting programs and economic policies that defund and harm the mentally ill
i mean the internet today deals in extremities so people see stricter gun laws as absolutely taking them away instead of making them less accessible...

But it would be pretty damn hard to kill more than 2 people in a big room with a knife, and I haven’t heard of many C4 attacks by nerdy white kids in a while .

u can go hunt, protect ur home, or just target practice with a bolt action rifle or a shotgun and both of those are infinitely less dangerous than assault rifles or easily concealable firearms
yeah no the american gov should be overthrown rn not when they "want to make its citizens slave" or anything dystopian, literally rn and that has been true for over a century

as a gun owner myself i still think its really weird that theres even a debate for the legality of assault rifles let alone other tactical weapons
The argument for guns to use against tyrannical governments is a stupid one. If the government wants to make its citizens slaves all they are gonna do is take away your resources - electricity, gas, the internet etc...
So, get off that stupid a$$ conspiracy theory. If it ever calls for it you and your gun will be trapped in your basement living an episode of the walking dead
too much culture around guns, both as an outlier and a scapegoat. a knife is less effective than a gun but can still be sneaked underneath a belt. bombs are less accessible but black market exists. there's always gonna be tools for mass destruction no matter what
so there's the argument against gun control being the absolute answer, but it certainly would save more lives probably
