Welcome to Forum Mafia 19: Forbidden Actions!

Game is over. Ended on Day 5

Mafia wins! This game was ranked.

The mastermind's behind this game are Gerry, Mori and myself.

The game will be played like any other Forum Mafia game, with one twist! Every player will be given an action pregame. If the action they are given is performed, they will be Killed from the game, with their forbidden action being shown afterward. More information will be given under Rules.

I. The Schedule:

72 Hour Days. 24 Hour Nights

  • If you don't submit actions by the deadline I will consider you taking no action.

II. The Set Up:

  • There is no "possible roles list". I promise not to get too crazy.

  • Mafia will have Day chat. And will know each other's Forbidden Actions

  • You will get an Alignment PM. Town or Mafia and your alignment will not change.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

You win if at least one member of your group is alive and all other players are dead (or if nothing can prevent the same)

III. The Rules:

As explained earlier, there will be forbidden actions. YOU CANNOT SHARE YOUR FORBIDDEN ACTION. If found to, you will be mod killed. If you commit the forbidden action, you will be killed from the game. You may speculate forbidden actions of others within the game. If asked whether your forbidden action is something, you cannot confirm or deny. You can also not soft or hint as to what your forbidden action is.

We also will be strict about ISP and replacements. If you think for any reason you MAY have to be replaced, do not sign up. We also reserve the right to deny anyone from joining, if we believe you will troll, isp, sub.

IV. Votes:

  • Votes must be made in the format Vote: Playername. Bolding is done using the tags [b][/b].

  • I will not take any other type of vote. If I can't tell who you're voting, I won't take it.

MOD NOTE Mori will be giving out a token prize to a player from each alignment who the hosts determined played best.

Hey PonyLove jsyk if you're being lynched & you're town oracle, optimal play here is to trigger your forbidden action right before you get lynched so we're still in day phase and you're revealed.

also yes but i feel like the worst thing by far was denial's reactions/push on you. Like I think if he's scum he really believes his modkill joke wasn't a valid reason (it might not be cuz he does like to make jokes like that outside of game) and that explains why his ate felt genuine to me (it did).

Okay I'm finally caught up and this is what I've come to so far. I think Retti is town, even though he has had some weird behavior, when he jumped the gun and auto tr impoetic when she outed his role seemed very townie to me. As town I feel you are more paranoid so anytime you get a confirmed town it's kind of a relief? At least in my experience.
But I didn't get the same townie vibes from impoetic and I haven't tr her since d1. Also, I kinda tr ultra though I wouldn't be completely shocked if he was mafia. Unvoting on yoyo the previous day has contributed to my tr on him so idk how fair that is.
Ripple is my other tr because her pointing out ponylove's contradictions doesn't look like a maf reaching and seems like a natural read. I do agree that pony has contradicted herself alot I will consider lynching her today. If she flips maf then I think transcend is also maf.

So far the teams I can see is transcend/pony or if I'm wrong about my tr's it could be ripple/impoetic. I can't see retti and impoetic as a team at this point. I also think there is one maf in babylonia/denial/kassidy.

His comment hinting Impoetic should be modkilled was a scumtell whether conscious or not since scum are far more likely to be looking for people to modkill. His push on me has felt really disingenuous since it really appears he was just throwing everything he could at the wall and looking to see what stuck. There was a lot of "wow denial is bad" as i recall but very little voting in his direction which is a red flag in my experience. His AtE while tryna push shears was bad.

i get fosed as town for inconsistency in epicmafia games a lot more than i do as scum and it is for that reason i didn't include that in my list of logical reasons to lynch you.

like i totally get that ponylove = the most logical lynch.

but the reason ripple scumreads you is that your inconsistent reads are actually beneficial from a scum POV.

you never answered why you thought you were clear. why do you doubt that? a part of me keeps defaulting to the worst case scenario where you somehow flip town this game and it'll be my failure to convince you i'm town and i'll have let mafia under the radar and himiko was right all along, or something.

You bring this up now why? And why is it so hard to believe an enabler that is an anti town role (most of the time) in the game and as mafia what use do I have of claiming it.
I mean sure there's the obv "Don't lynch me I'm an enabler you're hurting town!" but yeah I think that's it if you think of anything else feel free to let me know

i know i'm complaining a lot but my reads have been going violently back and forth all game even more than usual and i think i have brain whiplash (if you will...). this happened last game i played too just....not as bad. in fact this kinda happens all the time and i don't know why i expected any less. just. i felt like i was off to a good start. I overthink everything

i.....kind of want to know if anyone else is feeling the same way or used to play like this and figured out how to fix it. i feel like i'm the only one that has this problem but how can people be so sure of their reads this game? It seems like everyone is either towntelling or playing so badly that i'm really paranoid they're lynchbait town.

and ripple I don't know if i already asked you this but why are you not sure the role you enable is in-game??? I don't get why you think the mods would do that
It's a thing on mafiascum for an enabler to be enabling a role that isn't in the game so I don't think it would be such a shock for it to be on this site either because if it was just a normal thing then I would have info on a role 100% being in the game.
