Welcome to Forum Mafia 19: Forbidden Actions!

Game is over. Ended on Day 5

Mafia wins! This game was ranked.

The mastermind's behind this game are Gerry, Mori and myself.

The game will be played like any other Forum Mafia game, with one twist! Every player will be given an action pregame. If the action they are given is performed, they will be Killed from the game, with their forbidden action being shown afterward. More information will be given under Rules.

I. The Schedule:

72 Hour Days. 24 Hour Nights

  • If you don't submit actions by the deadline I will consider you taking no action.

II. The Set Up:

  • There is no "possible roles list". I promise not to get too crazy.

  • Mafia will have Day chat. And will know each other's Forbidden Actions

  • You will get an Alignment PM. Town or Mafia and your alignment will not change.

As explained earlier, there will be forbidden actions. YOU CANNOT SHARE YOUR FORBIDDEN ACTION. If found to, you will be mod killed. If you commit the forbidden action, you will be killed from the game. You may speculate forbidden actions of others within the game. If asked whether your forbidden action is something, you cannot confirm or deny. You can also not soft or hint as to what your forbidden action is.

We also will be strict about ISP and replacements. If you think for any reason you MAY have to be replaced, do not sign up. We also reserve the right to deny anyone from joining, if we believe you will troll, isp, sub.

  • Votes must be made in the format Vote: Playername. Bolding is done using the tags [b][/b].

  • I will not take any other type of vote. If I can't tell who you're voting, I won't take it.

MOD NOTE Mori will be giving out a token prize to a player from each alignment who the hosts determined played best.

n1ed and Impoetic clearly aren't scum together at the least, and I'm just sitting here thinking about what the hell n1ed meant in the quotes I was talking about. I'm almost anxious about it.

If Impoetic is anything, she's the Mafia Rolecop, but that doesn't make too much sense with what N1ed said earlier, so I really need to see his claim..or at least..something..before I can think about that more.

I think after careful thinking D is town. I am certain of of Retti/Impoetic is scum and one of them is town. IDK which is which. I'm not lynching either of them today.

It's really strange for both of our roles to co-exist, because even then having two roles essentially the same (even if I'm just a one-shot) is not very logical. If I look at it like that, Impoetic could really be scum.

My answer towards Impoetic is..I don't know. I can't see myself lynching her in the foreseeable future, but if it comes down to it I know what I have to do.

I used a weaker one (Rolecop) in the chance that I would get roleblocked, because I found it strange in accordance to forum mafia meta that I wasn't, therefore I wasn't too surprised and it only confirmed that N1ed/Impoetic could both be town. Perhaps one of them really is a roleblocker, or mafia, but N1ed apparently has a lot to say in the matter.

I have four powers actually. I have only used my Watcher and Rolecop. If denial is legit then I expect to live through the following night, moreover, I expect to not be roleblocked and to be able to get out my other actions as they're extremely important.

Retti do you think both you and Impoetic can be town here? I'd consider Himiko an investigative role. You both are obviously investigative roles. Do you think town has 3 investigative roles, one of which with 3 powers?

Well running him up in votes is a good idea.

K could be ascetic I guess but she didn't claim negative utility at the beginning of the game so that would make her scum which I'm a bit reluctant to accept.

And since I know someone will ask; ascetic is an extremely common role on mafiascum and it wouldn't be at all surprising for Gerry to use it. It's a role which is untargetable by all power roles except killing actions.

The way N1ed talked earlier, he said that I shouldn't out the 2nd person because he could possibly confirm them. I wish I could understand this better if his restriction is 'cannot claim' because that would be very unnerving, so N1ed, as soon as you read try and describe what you meant without tripping your restriction somehow.

With all this said, 3 investigative powers including one with 3 powers yield 1 scum at most. I've concluded Impoetic/Retti are not scum together. But I don't think both are town. I may need to re-read Impoetic because Retti just might be town.

With all this said, if Retti is town then it leaves 3 really huge candidates for me.

1. N1ed- Easily the scum roleblocker.
2. Babylonia- Easily the serial killer or had a bus drive action performed on her.
3. Impoetic- I do not believe she can be town with Retti. Sorry.

Also- denial might be someone I need to look at, since his claim might contradict mine. However, l've townread him pretty hard this whole game.

For now I like the votes on N1ed. He's been a solid choice for a lynch of mine throughout the course of this whole game and I think he is scum.

Okay.

Keep in mind that this is my genuine claim and the easiest route for me as scum is just to claim blue.

I have roleblocking powers.

I did not use them on Retti either night. I figured that since I have roleblocking powers that there was another anti-town faction. Given that, a town roleblocker against one scum team is insanely stacked.

Since I did not roleblock Retti either night I knew my claim most likely contradicted his, hence the death tunnel of one liners. I was reading this juicy game while at work.

However, N1ed hasn't claimed his role and he might be a mafia roleblocker.

I roleblocked Babylonia both nights, if there is a serial killer, she's it.

Hence why I immediately started tunneling her right after Retti did his dayvig gambit on me. I thought I blocked a faction kill. I still think I might have.

Now in terms of Retti, there's one of three situationis where the first one is much more likely. 1. There is a scum roleblocker that blocked Retti. Simple. There's already lots of claimed pr's and most likely 2 factions. We have JOAT/RC/Doc/Orc/RB/Whatever the F*** N1ed is/Forbidden Psychic. I can believe that town and scum both have roleblockers with this many prs and POSSIBLY two factions. 2. There is a scum bus driver and Babylonia is mafia that tried to get whatever happened to Retti on her. So Retti might have eaten my block since I blocked Nat. 3. Retti's scum that's bluffing a block. 1 and 3 are possible 2 is an extreme scenario imo.
