Welcome to Forum Mafia 19: Forbidden Actions!

Game is over. Ended on Day 5

Mafia wins! This game was ranked.

The mastermind's behind this game are Gerry, Mori and myself.

The game will be played like any other Forum Mafia game, with one twist! Every player will be given an action pregame. If the action they are given is performed, they will be Killed from the game, with their forbidden action being shown afterward. More information will be given under Rules.

I. The Schedule:

72 Hour Days. 24 Hour Nights

  • If you don't submit actions by the deadline I will consider you taking no action.

II. The Set Up:

  • There is no "possible roles list". I promise not to get too crazy.

  • Mafia will have Day chat. And will know each other's Forbidden Actions

  • You will get an Alignment PM. Town or Mafia and your alignment will not change.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

Each night, one of you or your partners may perform the factional kill. You may kill and perform your role action during the same night.

You win if at least one member of your group is alive and all other players are dead (or if nothing can prevent the same)

III. The Rules:

As explained earlier, there will be forbidden actions. YOU CANNOT SHARE YOUR FORBIDDEN ACTION. If found to, you will be mod killed. If you commit the forbidden action, you will be killed from the game. You may speculate forbidden actions of others within the game. If asked whether your forbidden action is something, you cannot confirm or deny. You can also not soft or hint as to what your forbidden action is.

We also will be strict about ISP and replacements. If you think for any reason you MAY have to be replaced, do not sign up. We also reserve the right to deny anyone from joining, if we believe you will troll, isp, sub.

IV. Votes:

  • Votes must be made in the format Vote: Playername. Bolding is done using the tags [b][/b].

  • I will not take any other type of vote. If I can't tell who you're voting, I won't take it.

MOD NOTE Mori will be giving out a token prize to a player from each alignment who the hosts determined played best.

I don't know what to think about this point. I have to consider really dumb restrictions now amongst everyone and that just demotivates and frustrates me all the same. I really don't want to lynch PonyLove if this is just a restriction, but mods decided it was a candid idea to make game-related restrictions and not just quirks.

anyway on the subject of denial it's really ticking me off how throughout yesterday when I was bickering with him there were multiple people who were like "wow yeah denial is bad" but no one actually wants to put any votes on him.
You forget: She asked to be lynched When she was Orc on dammed I'd love to hear the logic in the dammed sr when everyone was tring him besides "he was scummy" but besides that she asked to be lynched when she was orc on NO ONE along with softing pr at a dumb time
Nah I was reading it as "uhg lynch me cause you think I'm not town and I'm frustrated. But also don't lynch me because I'm oracled on a dead person today."

Please make your lines seem at least a little genuine so I can feel ok with voting with you

Okay, seriously.

Mods. Yes, talking to the mods of this game.

Giving players restrictions that hinder the game in such a manner that they cannot properly state their thoughts, such as lying or not being able to townread is not good mechanics, it's borderline modding. PonyLove's contradictions constantly are in lieu of this, but they are also scummy. It's very hard to discern whether her oddball behavior is lol restriction or just her actually being scummy. Do you see why that's bad to read? Bad to play with? If we lynch PonyLove and my assumption was right and she can only lie/contradict herself, then ultimately we lynched her based on restriction behavior and not player behavior. This is a detriment to the game because we would be wasting another mislynch based on something that we cannot properly discern, because the mods already decided for us.
I need to requote this because I still can't stress it enough.

I honestly don't know what to think right now. How was I pushing on nothing when she said she there was no n1 when there clearly was. How am I pushing on nothing when she intentionally contradicts herself throughout the whole phase right now. It's boggling my mind to the point where I've come to a conclusion it could be a really, REALLY poor restriction that I am very unhappy with.
Cause I dont freaking pay attention to night numbers, literally, gerry/mori/pap message me saying to send in my night action

I'm with UltraAug that pushing on Pony for the oracle claim itself as well as the "Night 1 slip" isn't towny. that along with his interaction with Impoetic has me really hesitant to join the PonyLove wagon. but retti has been really really town for me everywhere else so I'm not about to counterwagon him.

We could lynch PonyLove and worst case scenario she's town and we know Retti's alignment.

OR, CHANGING THE SUBJECT, WE COULD LYNCH DENIAL.

I'm with UltraAug that pushing on Pony for the oracle claim itself as well as the "Night 1 slip" isn't towny. that along with his interaction with Impoetic has me really hesitant to join the PonyLove wagon. but retti has been really really town for me everywhere else so I'm not about to counterwagon him.

Are you sure? Why does she keep contradicting herself/ changing her mind?
I really don't think pony would be faking all this emotion for the sake of lying about a role restriction. I also don't think the mods would ever be that stupid. Pretty sure that ponylove, at least if she's town, can tell the truth at least in some ways. If she's mafia her forbidden action could be something like "fosing partners" or "claiming blue" but...you get the picture.
