check out the feminism thread to see why women aren't oppressed

black people are not oppressed either

islam is problematic

when intelligence agencies across europe and the US have estimated that up to 15-25% of muslims have been radicalized
in the world, it doesn't matter that the majority are peaceful. it doesn't matter when this majority is silent and does nothing to solve the issue that islam has a hand in radicalizing people. terrorists are doing these acts in the name of their god

when 'moderate' muslims have overwhelmingly regressive attitudes, shown in numerous polls, islam has a problem.

these 'moderate' muslims overwhelmingly favor doing damage control instead of being more vocal in ending islamic terrorism

I don't think you should judge the BLM movement for the extreme people (the snipers etc). That's like hating feminism for the people who want female supremacy. It's like hating all 1.3 billion muslims for the terrorists. The BLM group does have a radical influences, the riots in the 90s and Malcolm X, however, by preaching what MLK said has gotten them no where. They are speaking out more to be heard. The simple fact of the matter is there ARE more black people in prison. Black people are incarcerated almost 7 TIMES MORE than white people (as of 2009). There is less mercy given to them simply because of the color of their skin. This alongside with many white people getting let off of the hook because of their "bright future" or their "mental health problems" would be looked over if they were a minority. There is and probably always will be a white supremacy problem in America. We were built on the foundations of racism and it in all honesty is never going to completely go away. However, we can try to get rid of the stigma that all black people are bad and have cops learn to treat all races the same (even the ones who already do. we need to reset all of their moral compasses). BLM stands for injustice and frankly it's disgusting that some of you don't realize that.

ok, here is some opinions on this. I almost never believe/like extremists. So I do think that black lives do matter. obviously, they do matter, they are the same any person in my eyes. But I don't think people should go really extreme with this, We had a sniper in Dallas shoot white police officers because he wanted to support BLM and thought the country was not agreeing with him. Extremists are never good but the actual thing is that there lives do matter.

ALL LIVES MATTER plain and simple. BLM is a group of crybabies who want black people to be held on a pedestal.

You know, with the level of wealth the US has, a $50,000 GDP per capita, I do think that's more than enough to keep a person from starving and being homeless. Let's start treating people like people.

Why work? Oh work your arse off into something that you're inherently passionate about, get the opportunity to earn a lot of money that gives you the ability to do more than live on subsistence wages (which is what welfare is), but sure let's just assume blacks are all lazy without looking at the institutional problems that are still present!

That is assuming your overgeneralization about welfare is correct

Yes because welfare isnt the only program. You get Welfare, disability, unemployment, EBT (food stamps), Section 8 housing, and a free cellphone.

Why work?

But seriously paying for the roof isn't in any way enough compensation at all for centuries of slavery and segregation

Do they believe cops actually enjoy the massive fallout and legal implications of shooting a man who shouldn't have been shot? Do they actually think they are being targeted?

What about welfare? White Americans paying for the roof over their head and for water to come out of the tap - is that part of whitey "keeping them down"?

Without whitey, they would all be living under bridges with no shoes on their feet

I'm paying for your roof but you gotta live far away from me, you ain't getting jobs, the one time you do something wrong you gonna get a jail sentence for life.

if it were seen by black people that black lives mattered, they would reciprocate. not difficult

your crying back at them about your life mattering, when it's easy street for you, isn't worth sht

I will not state my opinion on the way the group acts as I do not want to take a side in the argument of the movement, I do agree with what you said though that all lives matter and that should be simple to understand

People keep saying you can't judge BLM by it's loudest supporters, yet everyday you hear about something new and messed up.

They're bullies. They're immature children who cry to get their way.

Blocking parades, accusing people attending a memorial service for the nightclub shootings of being racist, crashing republican events (refusing to let people speak, threatening to hurt supporters), calling for no police at protests or events, blocking highways, the list goes on and on.

F*ck BLM.
