A little idea.

So basically, one huge issue this site has is simplicity for newer players. Upon joining an unranked game, which new players are forced to do, you face a couple different situations, all basically bad. You either join a game with a -ton of random roles that is a clusterfuck and scares the player away. Or you might join a game with a bunch of veterans who do stuff without an explanation which just confuses the new player, and likely drives them away. Or you join an unranked game with a bunch of other noobs who have no clue what they're doing and screw it up. In all situations, new players seem to have a tough road ahead of them. It's only the players who are smart and patient enough to learn about the site that will actually end up staying.

So, my proposal is this: Have a beginner lobby, where players are automatically sent to upon joining the site. There they can join one of the couple allowed setups (simple ones) and join a game. Simultaneously, the game will also have a couple of slots for veterans. Essentially, veterans with over 100 games played, may join the beginner lobby and join games. They can join the game, help the new players understand it, and so on. What do the veterans gain from it? Every 25 beginner games a veteran helps out in, they get 1 token (something along those lines)

This whole system encourages veterans to help out, helps new players understand the site, and I think it'd work. I want harsh critique. kThxBye

Nobody actually asked for this. I'm sure people who played classic at the time and continue to play FP right now didn't want this either. They'd be much happier playing their normal red heart games in their own lobby while competitive players played with other players that are equally as serious.

TL;DR: It was a decent pitch at first but everybody hates it now. Lets switch it back.
if the merge didn't happen comp lobby would've died since it literally took 1 hour to fill a single game.

there won't be another lobby split, because the same thing would happen within a matter of months

we had this a year ago. then the competitive players wanted a merge because they felt like they were being excluded. now we've come full circle..
If I remember correctly, most competitive players disagreed on the poll which asked whether we wanted to merge. So no, we did not ask for this.
lobby split a. kills activity b. breeds a false sense of elitism c. creates even more lobby v. lobby drama than we have with main v. sandbox manufactured lobby drama d. doesn't work, most training players stay in training (which kills competitive. saving the competition of em was the main reason the lobby merge was suggested)

Now competitive players have just excluded everyone else from their games, so I don't see the problem with this idea
i'm not really sure about that. in the last few rounds, the leaderboards have been mostly newer players, or at the very least players who weren't active in the competitive lobby
Because they appear there doesn't mean they are wanted
no one wants you if that's how you feel

The last few rounds have also had cheating investigations leaking faster than the Titanic.

Is that referring to comp and training lobbies or something else I don't know of?
