Please stop being so hostile

JonTBHabout 11 years ago

I've been doing this for about 2 weeks. I just did a game earlier today where everyone suspected i was maf, because... i dont know. But it came down to 3 people, and the blue sided with maf and killed me, the cop. That was fine, because i understand that you lose sometimes, and i hope you do too! But whats not good is the barrage of insults and anger that was flying my way.

IM SORRY for not knowing all the l33t lingo.

IM SORRY for accidentally "soft telling" or something.

IM SORRY for not knowing what to do when someone cc's.

IM SORRY for not knowing about this site 2 years ago.

But what i am not sorry about is joining. It's a really fun game, and i enjoy doing it. But why does it have to be such a hostile environment to noobs? You didn't know anything about the game once. You, like me, had a 2 week old account at once.

Things like this are supposed to be fun, win or lose! So I'd really appreciate it if you actually kind of welcomed me to the community, instead of just calling me "A IDIOT" during postgame and telling me to get off the site. It's really kind of hurtful. Just please remember that we are all people, with lives outside of this game. And please remember you, like me, were a noob once. This isn't directed to everyone, just a select few who still are enraged at new players for DARING to NOT KNOW EVERYTHING about the game before they play the game.

Thanks

I am trying to improve!
This is a lie mediocre people like yourself tell themselves to justify being failures. Should you decide to stop deluding yourself you wont blame people's reaction to your failures on anything but your failures.

You are sorry, but what you should be sorry for is being content to stay mediocre when the core of your mistakes is failing to improve. You should be lambasted and you should feel bad when you mess up. You're the problem not the people being aggressive with you.

Maybe if you sucked less, people wouldn't be as aggressive with you, try it.
The thing is, im not content with being mediocre. I am trying to improve! But i am still learning the advanced techniques of the game. When did i ever say i wasn't trying to improve? And i assume that you completely knew everything about the game when you started. GJ!

Yea, it's hard to improve that win rate when you pass hammers to a guy with 3k pointfarms played and he hammers a clear instead of his cc.

Great advice from a 41% town win player.
