Then they shouldn't be joining that setup... and they won't. If a setup is too difficult, people don't play it. You don't really even need mod intervention. The only time 'huge scumsidedness' would actually be a real problem is in a reverse setup.
Example: Nobody played Janitorial 101 for many many years because it was too difficult.

i would understand if maybe A&D was fun but every game of A&D i've ever played makes me want to hate myself and everyone in it
A&D will start world war III, think about that mods
if town are losing basically 60% of all games then it's just too damn hard

its not like you play it, or its not like the setup has even been allowed in the main lobby, if you make fun of steven for spending text wall upon text wall trying to justify his rules but not ever playing the game to ever see them go through then you must understand that a&d should be given at least a chance in the main lobby and based on how well it performs during the round, a more appropriate course of action can be taken post round 300.
the only valid point being made for the threshold ITT (aka, non of lashka's points) are the ones helsinki is making - that these old comparison setups are a lot worse nowadays but we will never know because they won't be remade

Why is 59% too scumsided. What is it about that number that suddenly makes it too scumsided?
exactly - nothing was written down and all these 'rules' were kept to a few of the old admins and mods who weren't on the team when i was first modded.
After the DLYV thing where there was nothing to make a decision on, I decided it was time to make some rules that everyone would be aware of and follow.
Frankly, overly scumsidedness isn't a huge problem because it can't be farmed anyway. It's actually the cut-off for townsidedness that's a lot tougher to judge, and 55% might indeed be at bit too high now.

arguing about balance is silly, when it boils down to the fact that sds is a fine setup, a&d isn't.
