what date because we're seeing mac demarco on the 9th and Brand New on the 12th
i dunno, i havent' checked, i've only been told they are. tickets are (supposedly) selling fast but only $50. i'm probably going to get a ticket when my w2 gets in.
thats pretty good tbh, and would only cost her £550 to get there so it basically works out like a regular dcfc gig

brand new were £33 each and freakin' mac demarco was £44 a head rip our bank accounts

brand new was only $55 and a 4 hour trip for me, which was completely and utterly worth it and also way lowball for what i would've paid. dcfc are performing in town for me and they just got done with an album i really enjoyed, so i'm expecting to enjoy that.

i've never been to detroit and i'd like to keep it that way. new york is perfectly fine as long as you don't get mixed up with gangs or anything and like dan said don't make yourself a target. you just need to be smart. the worst problem here is drug addiction.

i looked at a bus stop at rosa parks and i was scared to even stand there

you come in from ann arbor and everything looks great and you know you're in detroit because you see sleazy lawyer ads and grafitti on every establishment, just the air itself feels dirty

i think i accidently ventured into jamaica once without knowing it

meanwhile my mother told me that i was going to be killed and shanked if i go to NY, maybe even mugged

so far none of that has happened.
NY is very misunderstood, I feel. I mean, it's not -that- unsafe to the point where you'll get into that kind of situation, but you have to have good intellect to know what to avoid.

my opinion is that as long as you don't make yourself a target, you won't be a target.

there's actually a bunch of really friendly people in NY and i don't feel a foreboding sense of danger most of the time, unless im on a street that is a bit more disclosed or in an area that im not too familiar with

i will admit the first time i walked down roosevelt i felt weary

I had to run an errand at the courthouse in Jamaica and started flirting with a girl who I met in the elevator, and soon realized it was probably a bad idea to try and meet girls in a courthouse because they were probably troublemarkers.

Jamaica isn't so bad I dig the vibe there personally. I drunkenly ran through there one night after hanging out at St. John's.

I can't speak to the Bronx since I don't know the area beyond Fordham much at all, but there are plenty of safe and great neighborhoods in Brooklyn.
