Right now the mod team is discussing spamming as a vio and we're considering condensing it into one vio. This means that spamming in unranked games will now be a community vio and thus against the rules, contrary to how it is currently moderated. It would also be moderated in sandbox, which it currently isn't.

Right now, we just want to get a consensus of how the site feels about this. Do you think spamming should be moderated in unranked + sandbox?

I honestly feel unranked are for people who are still trying to learn the game/ testing new setups (for this two reasons only) and thus I don't mind for it to be moderated. got no opinion on sandbox. cause them.

what if you let one rip every 2 seconds consecutively for 10 minutes.. and then lit a match?

Spamming is obnoxious, but minor. Farting in public is also obnoxious, but generally doesn't get you kicked out of a store.

Kicking is there for minor things like this.

Yeah, this stuff is really minor - Vancy had brought it up right before he quit and I wanted to revisit changing around some of the spamming rules to make it a bit more concise. Nothing pressing atm.

imo spamming is one of the most obnoxious things someone can do and it makes the game unplayable, and i dont think that should be happening in games with players that are fresh off the boat and don't know what they're doing. but that's just me

Lobby mods still can't apply vios, they can ban people though.

sandbox just has christopherzilla, i think. he occasionally appoints lobby mods if he needs help with abc alts or something but there's been restrictions on sandbox so he doesn't do that as much

Sandbox has their own moderators that can handle stuff like this too, right? I've been outta the loop for awhile so I don't exactly know what's going on with that.

as i said earlier, until sandbox is more on board with this, i'm only gonna push for unranked main at this point. thank you for the input, I can genuinely say that most of the mod team was probably gonna go further with this if yall hadn't given your opinions.

Do you think spamming is that big of an issue in Main Lobby unranked games? As far as I'm aware, it's only prevalent in Sandbox.

Spamming is fun in unranked lol, especially in Sandbox. I vote no ^_^

Also, if Cheating is allowed in custom lobbies then why shouldn't Spamming be? ._.

Also also, the kick button is a thing... you can simply kick spammers.
