that's not how institutional racism works. it's internalized & oftentimes done in subtle ways. to imply that you can stop institutional racism by suing the government is a wildly oversimplified take.

However, gun violence statistics are often hyper-inflated, especially in the United States. This is because the federal gov. is barred from studying it due to congressional edict. That's why the highly skewed FBI statistics don't really illustrate your point.

Gun deaths even if you don't factor out suicide are going down in the U.S specifically, and abortions are also decreasing per capita due to better access to birth control, family planning, and increases in QOL across the bow.

yeah and the number for mass-shootings would be closer to 1000 than 11000

Personally I don't think cellular death is really a useful statistic to discuss anyway. Abortion kills far more than gun violence, period.

I'm a fan of abortion so long as overpopulation is an issue : )

@Steelix I think you've assumed that the weight of a fetus increases linearly over gestation, which not true. Thus the number you've given (5.5 pounds) is quite far off.

~98% of abortions occur before 20th week.
At the 20th week, a fetus weighs ~0.7 pounds.

We both know that the other numbers given are estimations (137 pounds doesnt take into account children, or the fact most victims are male), so I won't nitpick, but:

If we take average weight of aborted fetus at 1 pound, and use all other values you provided:
Gun violence kills about 2x more cells than abortions.

also for people who argue the scope of my facts, to count as an abortion, it must be a legal visit with the CDC for an official abortion. Now add the number of miscarriages and illegal abortions (unregistered to the CDC) and imagine how much higher of a number it would be.

look at that ratio of shooters to non-shooters, and it would be like less than 0.01% of either gender.
