It's been over ten years. I propose that Lucid should make a 10 year Hall of Fame section that has everyone's stats saved and then reset the site stats for everyone and everything.
To include deleting all accounts below 49,900 that have not been used in 3 years.
Trophies too.
And for f sake, add badges for 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th place.
I don't want my stats wiped because I not only hate playing ranked, but I usually only play at work and have to leave games at times for customers. I have some old accounts with enough points to let me do things on this site, though, and it would be a shame to suddenly not be able to comment just because some nincumpoop was mad about people with trophies.
In my opinion resetting "everything" could motivate some people, and start some new rivalry that doesn't have to include competitive games. But also I think getting rid of the current stats and just putting them in some kind of Hall of Fame isn't fair. They should still be displayed on the profiles of proud Epic Mafia players that achieved something during these 10 years.
Also Kudos and Karama shouldn't be affected.
Instead of getting rid of trophies though how about keeping them the way they are right now on the profiles but just make a new art for new trophies and start giving out these new ones.

First off, mw295, the fact that 17 people signed this, doesn't mean that everyone shares your opinion, no matter what reasons you put down.
At the same time, the fact that there are not more people signing it, doesn't mean that a lot of people do not agree with you, just not EVERYONE.
If you want a rebalancing of red and gold heart games and points that matter and not just a trophy run full of tattle-talers then reset the points.
There are people here today that would be here in 5 years if they had a reason to run because they cannot get trophies. And that base is a lot bigger than the small trophy winner base as a whole. You need players to fill gold heart games.
Whatever, I can give reasons all day and none will still, you are all too busy living in your presuppositional idea and reactive listening. Have fun when things change on you.
Literally no new player cares about being at the top of the all time score list.... and if the leaderboard for overall score matters THAT much, just have the leaderboard for it on the "Fame" tab restart from December 8th and have everyone's profiles stay the same - just like how for "most decorated players" trophies still accumulate on our profiles, but only count there from after a certain date.
Example: I'm on the most decorated players list, and it shows me having a gold and a silver trophy, but on my profile, it shows a gold, silver and bronze. (gold and silver were from the last few months, the bronze was from a few years ago) And on Giga13's profile, he has like 10 trophies but isn't on that leaderboard since they happened before the "most decorated players" reset - but they still accumulate on our individual profiles so we can see our all time stats/trophies on our personal pages.
So basically you'd get to keep your points, and they'd still grow, but for purposes of the all-time leaderboard, everyone would be starting from the same point. And we know this is possible since it was done already for most decorated
Also I think that adding trophies/badges for 4th place and worse is a bad idea - people work hard to get a top 3 spot and the exclusivity/challenge is what gets people to play competitive in the first place.
This whole argument is based on the fact that new players only play this game for stats. Just because you're so obsessed with your own score doesn't mean all new players give a crap about that. They're here to have fun and every round is a new chance to get a trophy - literally no new players give a crap about hitting "top score" and NONE of them even know what that IS.
If you actually care so much about the leaderboards, have them reset it and start counting points from here on out. Someone actually already did this relatively recently for the "Most Decorated" section under "Fame" (or else I wouldn't be up there lol).
Do NOT delete people's individual statistics or hide them. What shows up on people's profiles is the accumulation of their time on this site and the games they've played. For the Fame tab, do whatever you want but please leave our profiles alone.
