Hello everyone! I would like to ask the people who are interested in this event to participate and contribute as much as possible.
In order for 2 new roles to be added to em, the community has to work together to refine the ideas that are going to be mentioned below. We have to collectively select 2 of the best ideas and make sure their version is the best one possible. The next step would be to come up with some sort of artwork for the selected roles. Lucid mentioned something about rewarding the users behind the artwork that would get selected in the end for those 2 roles.
Jack the Ripper (originally Hypocrite)
Jack the Ripper hates anyone who kills.
Jack the Ripper only wins when the game ends and all murderers are dead.
If Jack the Ripper receives a gun or knife and kills someone with it, he will not consider himself a murderer.
To Jack the Ripper, murderers are killing roles or any other player that has successfully eliminated someone else (shot, stabbed, blown up, etc.)
If a player survives one of these actions, Jack the Ripper will not consider the attacker a murderer.
(~Jennings)
Cat Lady
Chooses one player every night. The player is instantly alerted that a cat is at their door. They have two options: Kill the cat, and let it go. If you kill the cat, you are roleblocked and the Cat Lady doesn't know who was visited. If you let it go, the Cat Lady learns your role.
Sided with the mafia. (~Her)
Robinhood
Visits two people, taking all items from the first and giving them to the second (cannot visit self either way)
Action fails if trying to steal from a mafia
Sided with the village (~Torreador)
Vice President
If the president dies, takes their place
All townies immediately receive a message of their new president
Attends mafia meetings, and makes them anonymous
Cannot win if they are the vice president (~Alyssa)
Gossiper
Chooses one person every night.
Will see some whispers this person receives/makes.
If lynched at the end of the game, the last mafia can guess who the Seer is for autowin.
If the Seer dies, they will appear as a random (non-mafia) role in the setup and their will will always be blank. If dead, the mafia can still attempt a guess to the Seer's identity at the end of the game.
If there are multiple Seers in a game, only one Seer will know the mafia at any given time.
If there are two mafias and multiple Seers, the knowledge of the mafias will be split between them.
Sided with the village. (~Shwartz99)
Whistleblower
Once per game can force someone to vote someone else. Vote cannot be OT'D if it is a hammer. Sided with maf
(Will create more tension in selfing/hammering based setups (~Moldyches)
Soldier
If they are the last man standing against a single mafia or third party, the village wins.
Sided with the village. (~XFire)
PowerTown
Each night chooses a power role from the options provided to him. (the mods should determine the list)
Night meeting goes accordingly
Sided with the village
PowerMafia
Each night chooses a mafia role from the list.
Night meeting goes accordingly
Sided with the mafia
Poll
What is your favorite role mentioned in this thread?
Okay, I'm just spitballing, so someone (sl0nd) tell me if this is a good idea or not.
What if instead of targeting one Third in particular, the Supervillain grouped all of the Thirds in a game into 1 meeting? The goal would be to satisfy all of the third wincons as normal (lynch fool, werewolf eat people, anarchist gives out bombs) but the Supervillain will steal all of their wins unless they die beforehand. This would exclude the converting third parties.
So it doesnt role block. But it delays your effect
And the effects can stack at nights (cop getting 2 reports one night)
If QB can target maf partner, it can successfully make yakuza yakking 2 people?
I don't think you can use it on mafia but yes I just played a game where there was no gun d1 but 2 players got gunned d2 (there was one gs in the setup) so it works.
I know this isn't a graveyard related role but I like the way the icon turned out so I want to share it >.<
Rain Dancer
-Sided with mafia -Can perform a ritual at night, summoning a rainstorm to appear the following day. -Rainstorm lasts one day and makes town unable to lynch anyone that day. -Ability can be used once per game.
Morning system msg: "Due to terrible weather today's lynch has been canceled."
So it like makes everyone's vote weight 0 for a day (including mafia's) or just makes nl the only option in the votes.
i'm really not a big fan of mafia roles that stop lynches. unless the setup has a gun or vigil in it, lynches are the only way for the town to fight back against the mafia. i think any mafia role that lets people skip one day closer to mylo/lylo will always be too powerful.
I think it gives town a chance to do some more predicting and planning. The whole point is to reduce Town's chance of hitting mafia from for example 2(gun + lynch) to just 1(the gun). Abd maybe it would open up some new doors we haven't seen yet - like town hiding the gun/ gs not outing the gunned untill it's necessary, idk.
It also forbids the town from risky plays that can be really bad for mafia if they play out but have no effect on town if they don't Also if you have 2 cop (example) claims you can't just shoot one lynch the other, you have to do some good reading.
Queen bee looks like it will create full of bugs And the description is not really clear Like if queen bee visits cop n1 but not n2. Does that mean the cop gets 2 reports n2???

Tbh what that person says has a point, I know you're excited to make all these new roles to add to the game, but imo the most helpful thing to old and new users alike is to implement a feature that Emjack has had since the beginning: That really is the most basic thing. There's lots of talk about adding emojis, and adding graveyard roles, but why do we need to resort to a separate tab to look up roles? Why do we need an extension to look up roles in game? This would really make the game a lot more new user friendly.
i'll add it this week! thank you!
Sweetness, imo make it auto tell you your role mechanic at the begging of every game, but also let us use the /role function, so when someone claims or says a role, we can look it up.
.In the morning the Photographer takes a photo of a deceased town member in the cemetery and share the photo with someone. .If the role selected was a town role, then at night the person who received the photo will discover which person the photo shows. .Then they can change or not their role to the deceased member's role if they are a town member. .Sided with village.
there has to be a way to reduce this down, it still reads like its complicated

I think I'm not too good at wording my ideas in english, so that's why it may seem complicated, but it's like, you choose a role from the graveyard at night, do a meeting at morning, if the role you chose is town, at night the player you met will receive the name and the role and select if they take it or not.
I think I get it, but I still think there's too many steps involved here. We can probably slim it down.
Why not choose both the living and dead player during the day, and the living player chooses at night similarly to how the Cat Lady's cat works?
That's a very good idea, well I approve this change.
While we're on this topic... not to derail or anything, but add who left and joined a game in the pre-game, add a sysmsg for agent/spy telling them all the roles, a /rehost command to rehost a game, and a /games command to show what games are active in the lobby. Just look at EMjack's source code.
