Hello everyone! I would like to ask the people who are interested in this event to participate and contribute as much as possible.
In order for 2 new roles to be added to em, the community has to work together to refine the ideas that are going to be mentioned below. We have to collectively select 2 of the best ideas and make sure their version is the best one possible. The next step would be to come up with some sort of artwork for the selected roles. Lucid mentioned something about rewarding the users behind the artwork that would get selected in the end for those 2 roles.
Jack the Ripper (originally Hypocrite)
Jack the Ripper hates anyone who kills.
Jack the Ripper only wins when the game ends and all murderers are dead.
If Jack the Ripper receives a gun or knife and kills someone with it, he will not consider himself a murderer.
To Jack the Ripper, murderers are killing roles or any other player that has successfully eliminated someone else (shot, stabbed, blown up, etc.)
If a player survives one of these actions, Jack the Ripper will not consider the attacker a murderer.

Cat Lady
Chooses one player every night. The player is instantly alerted that a cat is at their door. They have two options: Kill the cat, and let it go. If you kill the cat, you are roleblocked and the Cat Lady doesn't know who was visited. If you let it go, the Cat Lady learns your role.
Sided with the mafia. (~Her)
Robinhood
Visits two people, taking all items from the first and giving them to the second (cannot visit self either way)
Action fails if trying to steal from a mafia
Sided with the village (~Torreador)
Vice President
If the president dies, takes their place
All townies immediately receive a message of their new president
Attends mafia meetings, and makes them anonymous
Cannot win if they are the vice president (~Alyssa)
Gossiper
Chooses one person every night.
Will see some whispers this person receives/makes.
If lynched at the end of the game, the last mafia can guess who the Seer is for autowin.
If the Seer dies, they will appear as a random (non-mafia) role in the setup and their will will always be blank. If dead, the mafia can still attempt a guess to the Seer's identity at the end of the game.
If there are multiple Seers in a game, only one Seer will know the mafia at any given time.
If there are two mafias and multiple Seers, the knowledge of the mafias will be split between them.

Whistleblower
Once per game can force someone to vote someone else. Vote cannot be OT'D if it is a hammer. Sided with maf

Soldier
If they are the last man standing against a single mafia or third party, the village wins.

PowerTown
Each night chooses a power role from the options provided to him. (the mods should determine the list)

(honestly though blave made most of the icons for the roles we use today, besides the new roles and 100% thankful for all that he's done in the past!! think he deserves a bit more appreciation imo)
Doomsayer seems like it would be a lot of fun and hectic. I also like Atomic Bomb. (Here's my similar role to it: https://epicmafia.com/role/13584) I think Translator may be a bit too complex.
Hypnotizer: participates in mafia meeting (same as other 2) Target a player - they visit the kill along with the mafia. Their original effects won't be changed.
Doesn't kill a town if mafia kills granny. If cop will visit 2 ppl. Tracker see's them as visiting the kill.
Split-personality? Possessed villager? Appears to self as blue, if lynched appears as blue (or ghoul if you're feeling flavorful.) Visits the night kill.
Doesn't visit at all. Can be carolled (Unsure about ninja) and counts for majority on the kill.
Doesn't get roleblocked by commuter.
(Maybe can't be roleblocked at all? I imagine him summoning a gang to beat up people. )
Nothing gimmicky with bombs.
Alternatively call it a ninja trainee.
Solo operative. Counts as 3 votes during the mafia meeting. Can only be roleblocked if last alive. Otherwise lets mafia have 2 not killing and 1 killing.
Just update graphical mode April 1st. That way, the people who want it updated are happy, and the people who think its a joke don't really get to complain about it.
This except the part about it being a priority. I'd rather it be a side project instead, as there's more important site features that need fixing/created/updated

there’s nothing wrong with improving graphical mode and making it an actual option to play in though, i actually think that’s worth being a priority since it’s been available for so long and hasn’t been improved
Partycrasher bug: Not sure if this is intentional but gunned still get "You received a gun!" message on nights without party. Maybe make them only appear on party/blizzard nights somehow?
I also don't think it should appear without party host/snow queen, maybe it can just convert to party host or something like admirer

Role dependencies would probably be beneficial to implement period. Admirer can't appear without necessary roles, party crasher can't appear without ph/snow queen, etc. There's probably a number of them that could be implemented.
Clearly you don't know the graphical meta. You soft your claim by going next to them. Profit! Won so many games. You should be kissing the graphical mode.

graphical mode is bad and id rather it be removed or improved than put an ugly picture behind the text-mode, making everything illegible. if you're yearning for a TOS aesthetic please STOP because it is FUGLY
Also, there is a random bug happening lately wherein someone will die, yet they will appear in-game (as in, not in the graveyard). This is incredibly confusing. Not sure what is causing this.
Revamping graphical mode would be by large, large margins a much bigger job than adding new roles. I didn't mean to get into a big thing. I initially replied bc I thought you were joking and didn't want the admin to accidentally thing that a revamped graphical mode as anything anyone really wanted.
so additional ideas are off the table now? ok lets keep bringing up the same 5 functions lucid can improve on and not talk about anything else. there are many ways to improve the site and graphical mode could easily be one of them. yes a "side function" now but if updated i think it has potential to be interesting. kind of how TOS is but obviously still more focused on the text-chat base of the game.
Just put some pretty artwork behind the text box, there's no need to turn the game into a point-and-click or anything. Just because something is text-based doesn't mean it should lack graphics at all.
