Hello everyone! I would like to ask the people who are interested in this event to participate and contribute as much as possible.
In order for 2 new roles to be added to em, the community has to work together to refine the ideas that are going to be mentioned below. We have to collectively select 2 of the best ideas and make sure their version is the best one possible. The next step would be to come up with some sort of artwork for the selected roles. Lucid mentioned something about rewarding the users behind the artwork that would get selected in the end for those 2 roles.
Jack the Ripper (originally Hypocrite)
Jack the Ripper hates anyone who kills.
Jack the Ripper only wins when the game ends and all murderers are dead.
If Jack the Ripper receives a gun or knife and kills someone with it, he will not consider himself a murderer.
To Jack the Ripper, murderers are killing roles or any other player that has successfully eliminated someone else (shot, stabbed, blown up, etc.)
If a player survives one of these actions, Jack the Ripper will not consider the attacker a murderer.
(~Jennings)
Cat Lady
Chooses one player every night. The player is instantly alerted that a cat is at their door. They have two options: Kill the cat, and let it go. If you kill the cat, you are roleblocked and the Cat Lady doesn't know who was visited. If you let it go, the Cat Lady learns your role.
Sided with the mafia. (~Her)
Robinhood
Visits two people, taking all items from the first and giving them to the second (cannot visit self either way)
Action fails if trying to steal from a mafia
Sided with the village (~Torreador)
Vice President
If the president dies, takes their place
All townies immediately receive a message of their new president
Attends mafia meetings, and makes them anonymous
Cannot win if they are the vice president (~Alyssa)
Gossiper
Chooses one person every night.
Will see some whispers this person receives/makes.
If lynched at the end of the game, the last mafia can guess who the Seer is for autowin.
If the Seer dies, they will appear as a random (non-mafia) role in the setup and their will will always be blank. If dead, the mafia can still attempt a guess to the Seer's identity at the end of the game.
If there are multiple Seers in a game, only one Seer will know the mafia at any given time.
If there are two mafias and multiple Seers, the knowledge of the mafias will be split between them.
Sided with the village. (~Shwartz99)
Whistleblower
Once per game can force someone to vote someone else. Vote cannot be OT'D if it is a hammer. Sided with maf
(Will create more tension in selfing/hammering based setups (~Moldyches)
Soldier
If they are the last man standing against a single mafia or third party, the village wins.
Sided with the village. (~XFire)
PowerTown
Each night chooses a power role from the options provided to him. (the mods should determine the list)
Night meeting goes accordingly
Sided with the village
PowerMafia
Each night chooses a mafia role from the list.
Night meeting goes accordingly
Sided with the mafia

What is your favorite role mentioned in this thread?
why not just make it so that if there is no cult leader in the beginning of the setup, then one cultist will become the cult leader
Because that precludes the possibility of having more cult roles that could lead the cult in their place.
i mean doing this just to make sure old setups dont get screwed up
I don’t think this can be done without running into the problem I mentioned though. People will just have to remake setups, which might be annoying in the short term but in the long term we’ll only benefit.
You could turn old cult role into cult leader, and make the standard cultist into a new role. That way, old setups default to 1 cult leader rather than 1 cult follower...
So for incorporating nearbeers role descriptors script you should do a complete overhaul of that. There should be a little role button at the end of the chatbox (you might want to make it longer) like in discord where you can choose a role that exists in the game Alternatively you could just type them out Something like #villager would display the villager icon and when moused over, have the role description This would be extremely helpful because then you won't have to reiterate the script every few seconds to search for when people said roles
lucid it would be cool if you could make everyones text light blue for a snowstorm so that you can differentiate it from other meeting chats (#00aaff is good)
I don't think moon with eyes will fit the rest of Game option icons, since all of them are kinda serious looking.
okay, I think lucid would like the second one better because there are blank pixels allowing for an outline everywhere. But the black "no sound" icon is a bit hard to see, and it blends in. What me and Shwartz tried to do was make one with a bit of personification.
I would say if you wanna make it look serious, probably separate the "no sound" icon and the moon. Make the "no sound" be on the bottom left or the top right corner.

i used the same color scheme as the dawnstart moon (the blue circle was supposed to be the moon) so it would be great if you could use that color
I mean, there were just a few things off with your design in general. Besides they don't have to be matching colors, I mean the daystart and sunset logos are both suns, but they are different colors to show different meanings.
nice meme for one. I like all of these except for the icon. Probably make it rounder and make the "shhh" part have a brighter color/contrast because it just looks like a blue circle with eyes and a small yellow thing. Another idea, maybe make it a softer blue shade.
i think adding a designated cultist leader role is a good idea, but does that mean removing the previous logic where cultist leader is chosen at random?
Yes.
I think the way I had it written down was to divide the cult into roles like this:
Cultist: -Meets with all of the other cultists at night. -Sided with the cult. (essentially it's a cult version of the templar now)
Cult Leader: -When in the game, can lead a conversion meeting with the cult. -If killed, all Cultists die. -Sided with the cult.
If there's multiple Cult Leaders in the game then one is randomly chosen and the others get converted to cultists.
