Is hipfiring reportable?

Munchlaxover 8 years ago

Confused.

I just got a vio for hipfiring. Cop was dead. GS outed. I was gunned town. So I shot straight away as I had a 50/50 chance of hitting mafia.

Maybe it was stupid because I hit town and got immediately lynched.

Worse, I got reported and vio-ed because apparently hipfiring is now reportable?

I see so many other people do it with no consequences... so why am I getting a vio for one?

SeriouslyConfused.

Ok, so had I killed mafia, would I still have got the vio?

Mafia's win condition is to kill as many town as possible. So no, it isn't unless they hipfire in a way that is determental to their win condition.

So if mafia hipfire straight away is that trolling too? As I said in OP, I can see it being deemed as 'bad play', but how is it reportable?

jk yeah i just looked at the game and i would've given it trolling too, you didn't wait to get any kind of reads or direction from the clear you just shot

hipfiring is shooting so quickly that you wouldn't have time to get reads or claims first. it falls under trolling, or under gamethrowing if it's a grudge shot.

your instance doesn't sound like hipfiring but i'd have to see the game

Is it actually a rule?

Because there is a new, very stupid rule. No vio this man
