The moderators are forbidding me from comping Classic Mafia (along with other variants such as Fancy Pants) because it is "uncompetitive". While it's on the mods to provide proof that it's uncompetitive, they have not done so, so I would like to start a poll and debate on whether or not this setup is comp worthy.
My vote is "yes". There is a huge skill gap in Classic Mafia. Some Classic players have 40% winrate, while some have 60% or more. You can't say that is all just luck, there is meta mindgames and scumhunting involved, and good report faking is a must.
YOU GUYS DONT HAVE TO EXPLAIN WHY ITS UNCOMPETITIVE? HOW IS THAT FAIR?

let's be honest comping classic would be 500x better thna the usual vdli, this setup is bad, basic framer, s&l, jan 2.0, every other round and one of those is my top played setup so i feel like me saying you should let someone comp some other boring setup that probably no one will play means something ok goodnight
EXACTLY. CLASSIC, G&H, FANCY PANTS WILL ALL INTRODUCE NEW PLAYERS TO THE COMPETITIVE GAMES AND MAYBE THEY WILL STAY FOR MORE ROUNDS AFTER GETTING CLOSE TO TROPHY

classic is easily the most boring setup on the god damn planet but who really gives a sh/it about it being comped either gnh people will come play it and the comp playerbase won't be the same 15 people playing on alts for once or no one will play it because people don't hate themselves

i started this comment out as a joke to appease biggus because i wanted to be unmuted because my desperate need for attention knows no bounds but i just want to say that i mean it completely unironically now because i realized that it really doesn't matter if it's comped or not
anyway, uhhhh competitive is basically a joke now and classic, although it may be boring as all hell, is called classic for a reason as it is a classic setup. it may not be particularly complicated, it may not last a very long time due to the fact that it's very straight-forward, and it may be absolutely dreadful to play, but i think that whatever the decision to not comp it was is, it's a bad one.
also, comping something simple like classic might attract new people who typically play g&h to play comp because it's something they understand and maybe they'll start playing other setups and main won't be filled with people playing 10 games of gnh a day
