If hooker is still alive, then mafia can hook one PR and kill the other, thus rendering both prs useless.
If PRs outed and there are ccs:
It is 1/3 shooting in prs, and 2/5 shooting outside. This is a bad situation.
Sheriff can ask prs to hardclaim, making a 1/2 chance of shooting pr day 1, and not being able to lynch until day 2. shooting in prs guarantee hooker staying alive, and being able to hook one, kill other PR.
If sheriff shoots in blues, then there is only 1/5 chance hooker is shot. If hooker isn't shot, then mafia can meet up, hook one PR, and then kill another pr.
If sheriff straight-up hipfires:
2/8 chance of hitting unouted prs
3/8 chance of hitting random blue, wasting shot that could be used for D2 cop reports
2/8 chance of hitting nilla or lawyer
1/8 chance of hitting hooker
If blacksmith is shot, then fake cop can random guilty any blue without hesitation day 2.
Now I dare anyone to explain how shooting Day 1 is not Gamethrow.

am I the only one that can bring up any kind of numbers and then get people to say I have bad reads?
listen losers, if it weren't for my great reads, I wouldn't have close to a 50% pie (would be easy 65 or 70% if people were smart like I was)
only the people who don't like this statement are being represented. the people who do agree with me are leaving it up to me to defend this both logically and optimally efficient strategy

Getting maf before they get a town is a HUGE reward. They can still win but that's only if they play right.
Shooting d1 for maf is like handing maf a crouch if you get one.

Honestly the strat needs to be removed bc its usually the 1st one new players to the setup read and happen to do and get notes for it. It also doesn't help experience players exploit it and do it too or encourage it.
Giga13, there is one fatal error in your arguments: Have you considered the fact that saying "HELL YEAH" automatically gives you a better chance of hitting the Hooker?
In fact, I'm not going to waste any more of my time arguing with anyone who thinks hipfiring at the start of Day 1 of this setup is optimal
If you happen to occasionally hipfire a hooker/lawyer/nilla, and use those instances as reasoning for it being optimal, then guess what, you're an idiot lol

You realize you can get reads and still shoot right? Literally the same thing but with at least some semblance of information to go off of. Not doing this shows:
1. You're too afraid of being incorrect after reading so you just shoot right away to avoid receiving any blame with reads
2. You're too lazy to actually play mafia. Perhaps a game such as roulette would better suit your taste
literally townreads don't mean anything day 1 because mafia won't have an odd interaction because they haven't met. also, the typical meta for nilla is much like pr, lawyer and hooker have blue-type meta. nobody is confirmed mafia day 1 unless if you follow the GT route of hipfiring, which costs town a lot.
Anyways, saying how HELL YEAH is better for noobs is total bull. Noobs and troll accounts are the reason why this is a bad idea. If there is a noob sheriff who shoots cc'ed PR, which is more likely than shooting mafia, they have higher odds of losing.
