Introduction
As of now, most (if not all moderators) provide no reason at all when they violate or no-violate a player.
Why should this be changed?
It is quite obvious what power the moderators is given by basically letting them do what they want without even giving an explanation why they took a certain measurement. Namely:
Favor friends and moderators
Disadvantage people they do not like
Manipulate the competitive play
What are possible disadvantages?
The only disadvantage I found so far is that mods have to put greater effort into dealing with reports. And with "greater" I mean appending one (!) more sentence that explains why one has taken that measurement. It shouldn't be much of an issue because a moderator clearly knows why they violate a player, they just need to write down their thoughts about it :)
Can we, vanilla users, change anything about it?
Perhaps. If there is a wide range of players who would wish to apply such a change to moderating rules, they might as well think about doing so. For this purpose, I have created a little poll in which you can have your voice about this matter.

THIS WOULD GREATLY REDUCE THE NUMBER OF REPORTS, IF THEY PUT THE REASONS WHY ON THE REPORT THAT IT WAS VIO/NO VIO. THEN I WOULD LIKE KNOW WHY THEY NO VIO SOMETHING SO I DONT REPORT THAT THING AGAIN!
Also mods see so many games, so I think that this would help with the appeals. they would know their reasons without having to re-read the games. This would help everyone find mod errors more quickly too. Like its not that uncommon for a verdict to be bad because the mod missed part of the game. You catch this sometimes when they tell you why it was a vio/no vio and you can point them of where to read better.
im sorry that it is difficult to read tone on the internet

sure it does, but i don't think you should force mods to do it. i already do it for my reports where i think the reason i gave or didn't give the vio might be unclear.

if you choose not to message a mod to ask them politely to explain something to you then i don't know what to tell you lol, i don't think mods should be forced to write a sentence for every report because it'd burn mods out even faster than they get burned out already, among other reasons
the only reason a closed report won't have the name of the mod who handled it on it is when the mod who handled it gets removed

if you don't know why a mod gave a particular ruling you can always just shoot them a private message asking them
Not everyone wants to message a mod for various reasons. It seems simpler to just explain something right then instead of having to message the mod - when sometimes there isn’t even a name of the mod who handled the report.
inane language policing probably isn't going to help the site when it's dying either, let the boys have their fun as long as it's not hurting anyone's feelings
I would appreciate if you refrain from turning this into drama and you stick to the topic. This is meant to be a helpful thread that aims to bring a positive change during a time where it's visible that the website is dying.
