Welcome to Forum Mafia 19: Forbidden Actions!

Game is over. Ended on Day 5

Mafia wins! This game was ranked.

The mastermind's behind this game are Gerry, Mori and myself.

The game will be played like any other Forum Mafia game, with one twist! Every player will be given an action pregame. If the action they are given is performed, they will be Killed from the game, with their forbidden action being shown afterward. More information will be given under Rules.

I. The Schedule:

72 Hour Days. 24 Hour Nights

  • If you don't submit actions by the deadline I will consider you taking no action.

II. The Set Up:

  • There is no "possible roles list". I promise not to get too crazy.

  • Mafia will have Day chat. And will know each other's Forbidden Actions

  • You will get an Alignment PM. Town or Mafia and your alignment will not change.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

Each night, one of you or your partners may perform the factional kill. You may kill and perform your role action during the same night.

You win if at least one member of your group is alive and all other players are dead (or if nothing can prevent the same)

III. The Rules:

As explained earlier, there will be forbidden actions. YOU CANNOT SHARE YOUR FORBIDDEN ACTION. If found to, you will be mod killed. If you commit the forbidden action, you will be killed from the game. You may speculate forbidden actions of others within the game. If asked whether your forbidden action is something, you cannot confirm or deny. You can also not soft or hint as to what your forbidden action is.

We also will be strict about ISP and replacements. If you think for any reason you MAY have to be replaced, do not sign up. We also reserve the right to deny anyone from joining, if we believe you will troll, isp, sub.

IV. Votes:

  • Votes must be made in the format Vote: Playername. Bolding is done using the tags [b][/b].

  • I will not take any other type of vote. If I can't tell who you're voting, I won't take it.

MOD NOTE Mori will be giving out a token prize to a player from each alignment who the hosts determined played best.

Actually, I do want you to look at my forbidden action. Not a priority if anyone else is desperate to be checked but it would be nice having that out there before it becomes a big confusing issue.

Sry baes. I would've pushed autowin of I knew for sure both died (it's not even auto because they have to town read me the way forbidden actions worked) because we couldn't force her to hammer one of us
it would have been autowin unless i, like, claimed i wouldn't be on and said I ABSOLUTELY HAD TO VOTE before one of you

like from my point of view as town, someone had to be town. The options were basically I refuse to prevent someone from having to worry about reading me by hammering the person I thought was scum and giving autowin to my TR (if I knew that my SR would lose) and basically be mechanically confscum, or I just get lynched lol

so yeah it was really fortunate for me that the mods didn't answer

i've fallen in that too.

oh and nice job to Ripple for that fakeclaim. we completely bought it and almost killed you the night we killed Retti (though honestly, considering Retti's forbidden action which was known at the time, killing you still would have been a viable option).

Impoetic played safe, panicked due to forbidden action. Then Ultra panicked due to forbidden action and commited sudoku. Such fun. Ultra could save the game sacrificing with maf who could accidentally put the hammering vote when didn't mean to.
True. If Impoetic accidentally placed Ultra at L1, town would've won.

I never once townread soda or mist, I made have made my mistakes ensnared in antitown behavior instead of scum behavior, but that's because I worried about being able to convince people, so I stubbornly decided to just let my PR do the talking, if that makes sense.

I spent two whole times telling you guys' why Impoetic was scum, so honestly I'm kinda salty. Especially because Retti kept brushing me off and saying we were both town.

Also I thought Impoetic was clear when given a hammer but... plot twist.

i got scared because impoetic voted me and because of my restriction, i committed suicide before someone accidentally killed, i was in L-1 basically and i couldn't say it

Honestly this game may have seemed like a bit of a landslide from the outside but from my perspective it was always really close. There was this general feeling I had that unless I somehow pulled off a denial lynch, Transcend and I would be dead meat and the issue of Impoetic's forbidden action was going to make that a tricky mylo/lylo. Didn't pan out exactly like I thought but close enough.

Mafia embarrassed the town. They lynched three town, got one modkilled, night killed three more, then two of them suicided and let the final one carry the game, they slapped us in the face

props to denial in particular for catching me out really early and not backing down. Ripple and shears played good games as well imo but just weren't doing enough to steer the lynches.
