Since this is the final round we have asked not one user but two users to guest judge, Nathan and Himiko!
Best Profile 11:
Congrats to mean For being best profile this round!
The scores are listed here:
Eviction:
nicrowy was eliminated! even though cody failed to submit a profile on time, the jury vote saved him with a 4 cody 1 mindful 1 cozy vote. with one jury vote being nulled for not submitting on time. the vote from em went to mindful because cody had already been given the jury vote.
Elimination Challenge:
The Final challenge is a 2 parter. For the first, each of the top 3 were given a redemption theme that they didn't do well on from the course of the competition to do again. For the second part we gave them an open concept where they were allowed to do whatever they wanted.
You have until Thursday 10/13 at midnight to complete your profiles!
Thanks for taking time out to read and respond said antikrist never.

There are winners and losers in a competition. But, for the record, I just think the task was a bad one. Last round there were a lot of quality profiles. However, just taking a picture of the animal and setting it as one's background with maybe a relatable gif isn't putting as much thought in the competition. Perhaps last round was just focused so much on collaboration that it was easier.

thanks for your opinion antikrist, said nobody, ever
i will literally change my icon back to the catdolphin and leave it there
u have a point but please consider the following: it has been made abundantly clear to us that the judges don't have anything specific in mind and u can interpret it however you want; you don't actually have to capture the exact essence of the animal "cat" -- which would be impossible because cats are omnifarious and omnipresent -- as long as there is a suggestion of the animal as a theme.
1. a small domesticated carnivorous mammal with soft fur, a short snout, and retractile claws. It is widely kept as a pet or for catching mice, and many breeds have been developed.
2. NORTH AMERICAN informal (especially among jazz enthusiasts) a man. "this West Coast cat had managed him since the early 80s"
verbNAUTICAL 1. raise (an anchor) from the surface of the water to the cathead. "I kept her off the wind and sailing free until I had the anchor catted"

This theme challenge is genuinely awful. I apologize if I go on a tangent but trying to create a theme around something that is less of a concept is difficult. I appreciate the advice anna gave saying that it could just be cultural, but the end result will probably have all profiles too focused on trying to make it seem like their animal, and it's really hard to determine what accounts for that. I've sat here scratching my head and being frustrated at somehow capturing the idea of 'cat' because it is far too loose and hard to determine what exactly 'cat' means. Choosing general ideas are a lot easier because you are given more room to be creative, and I understand that is part of the challenge, but I imagine it's not fun.
