A few reports I created ended up with no vio (like this https://epicmafia.com/report/187240) so I believe I dont know how this ISP vios work.
I wonder if faking afk is an isp vio or not.
I wonder if that depends on your side (town-maf-3rd party).
I wonder if thats an acceptable strat (for example, when everyone claims to clear, you can fake afk and not claim so town does not get the way of play they want).
I wonder if its ok to wait until kicks and blitz after faking afk.
Lastly I wonder if the time period you fake afk is important in possible faking afk vios.
I think we should clarify the rules about faking afk and I think it should not be allowed as a tool to blitz. (I also think it must not be allowed to fake afk in day for few minutes because i bekieve it is against the spirit and basics of mafia game but its not like we will be able to catch it.)
You haven't had a laugh when someone seems to be afk all day and looks like they're going to veg but then silent hammer when there are 15 seconds before kicks?
Who fakes afk in order to 'get laughs'? What sub-class of trolling is this because I never heard of it. Zhuorb you have a very distorted sense of humor.
if you fake afk you should goto that thread ppl go to for mentors and get one, even a bad one. in terms of sportsmanship and cheese level tactics, faking afk is the gayest thing ever

Dude mandevian keeps saying it was 2 minutes, while it was 9. Even though I fixed him before. He is saying afk is not fake, while the player said he did fake it. Mandevian keeps saying it even though I fixed him about this too. He ends the sentence with "he wasnt even mafia". You know and he knows vios does not care what side you are on. Aaaand he calls me dumbass after all.
I wasnt being salty, I belive he must be drunk/high or its not him (account stolen) to say those.
Cody I believe faking afk to blitz should be a different violation than the original ISP. It should not be allowed. It's vio should not depend if you participated in previous days before the day you choose to fake afk. What you wrote sounds to me like "we did not give him HC vio because he did not GT". I believe not participating the game enough and missing claims is a kind of ISP vio, and faking afk to blitz is another kind of ISP vio. They should not affect each other.
Please read the final day of the game you no vio'd. 9 minutes of pinging him. No fun. No scumhunting. Nonsense. No mafia game. I think it should not be allowed.
And yes, I am aware that someone is going to point out that there's a difference between re-reading for 3-4 minutes and being gone for 9 minutes. That's why this case was borderline.
Given that there were 9 minutes between his last message at the beginning of the day and his messages at the end of the day and the pings he received in the middle of the day, this is certainly a borderline case.
I chose to go with the no violation route because I believe that his participation in the game as a whole was sufficient. A short period of being or faking AFK is often indistinguishable from genuine re-reading; I don't want to set the precedent that someone can get reported and given a violation for re-reading the game.
And it wasn't even enough afk. I often don't talk for 2 or 3 minutes. Because I'm just observing and thinking. You are never supposed to assume that player will veg. You can try and manipulate people by saying that someone will veg. But you yourself should always be prepared for either case.
But in the report that Sinek filed on the other user. The user was not given ISP because he was gone for one day but participated in the 2 other days. Is the user Sinek reported breaking the rules, caroline? Should the report be vetoed and the game refunded?

It was answering the question if it's allowed I mean if you're doing it for a minute ok whatever but the whole day on purpose is ISP
Not true, that implies that you have to talk non-stop and you can't go back and reread prior days and or stay silent. That implies that if you aren't constantly talking while in the game, you are ISPing. To what duration of silence constitutes ISP caroline?
