Catcher in the Rye is witty and clever and thoughtful although it has some grammar mistakes in there (that may have been intentional idk). I thought it was well-accepted as a classic....

i really want to read A Soldier of the Great War by Mark Helprin because I've heard such good things about it and the premise is fantastic but it's 800 pages and that would take me about 5 months to finish
