i always thought catcher in the rye's main demographic was angst teenagers which is why I don't think I'd enjoy it that much


i didn't recommend it to you because it's not necessarily my favorite book (innuendo aside. that was great) nor is it one i'd recommend you above of some of the others posted in this thread.

my favourite book is by far the contortionist's handbook, and it's clever and all, but it ain't profoundly insightful, it's just a little bit of me.

recommended me by a cute girl ofc, which probably helps

haruki murakami seems like a really interesting writer, i think i'll check out some of his stuff. kafka on the shore caught my eye
