I like the Alolan forms, honestly if they just did this instead of mega evolution it would have been much better. Though I also hate the idea of older pokemon becoming irrelevant because they have newer better forms, and I wish they would do things to make older pokemon better without changing their styles. Still, Alolan forms is a pretty cool idea based off years of fans' speculations that has an actual purpose and reasoning to it.
I still can't tell if I'm going to love or hate these games but I'm leaning toward love. I have mixed feelings about the new pokemon despite there being a lot of cool new ones, none really stand out strongly to me yet that aren't pre-evolutions (Oricorio is probably my favorite so far)

they arent even milking it in the good way. they should've been making waaaay better sh1t with the pokemon property. nintendo doesn't know what tf they are doing
