imo its a lot easier to communicate when you can actually type something, rather than having to count on other town to communicate for you. (fiddler vs silencer)
for example, its easier for me to be talking and saying "hey can blah blah vote so and so if blah is true" rather than having to wait for somebody to say that for me, so that i can vote to confirm their answer
