send me a message if you want a spot in the next game. it'll start in a few days
forum mafia 11: the game
by me and soda
I. The Schedule:
36 hours per day, 12 hours per night.
II. The Setup:
Normal closed roles setup, as always, with the roles and affixes listed below. Any role can be town or mafia, and have any number of affixes.
By default there are no Night 1 actions, including the mafia kill.
By default no role can self visit, except watcher.
Players who share a meeting may communicate outside the game at any time of day.
Players are always notified at day start if their role is changed.
One mafia always leads the kill, and it's always the one that submits the kill last. Each mafia will visit the kill target.
On death, players flip their role, alignment and affix type by default, but not their affix details.
III. Supermajority Lynch Rules:
A lynch will happen immediately if a supermajority vote is reached (e.g. 9/16)
At end of day, "No votes" count as "no one" votes, but will not count towards a mid-day supermajority vote of "no one". The player with the most votes at that end of day, (including "no one") will be lynched.
Days can be ended early without a lynch by a supermajority "no one" vote.
because it's not helpful. i told you the exact reason and i will not believe your emotional tantrums or write off things perceivably scummy just because you're emotional. i need you to put your petty feelings aside and consider things more logically, otherwise you're just going to be a pain to read in general.
You see and I fear this is where I'm at. I'm afraid to SR people who are t talking because obvious reasons, and the other extreme I am not inclined to lynch those that are actively participating and moving the game along. Hence, I am brought back to my initial vote on someone who came in, gathered TRs on himself, and left.

any "solid" read i'd give at this point is more helpful to scum than town because it's not something i'm confident enough in
give it anyways. i don't believe in this mindset and i think that you should act upon whatever reads you have because they are not static and it helps to understand your thought process at the current moment.
Yeah, Jeff that last vote on Iceeac I don't get tbh.
Well you see I'm struggling to establish reads. I initially voted him and unvoted because it just felt right to unvote. Then I flipped to I don't remember and then to Lick because of the people that could be voted that weren't me, I thought he was best. I admittedly just wanted a BW that wasn't me and I felt most comfortable there because I didn't want to rock the boat nor did I have any reads to so I sheeped.
BUT, lick then had a great post that had a mindset that I don't think town would have so I flipped back to my initial vote and TBH in my gut it feels right. He came out strong, picked up some TRs and is now useless again. It's not indicative of town play in my opinion.
Sincerely that read on Claire was bad cause she only voted me as a troll vote. She voted me before I talked, so her changing off me shouldn't affect your reason to vote me or not? What is your read on me. Don't base it on other's reads, that's how you get scumread :^)
I don't want to ML Gerry today because at 1 point he voiced a sentiment that echoed my own at the right moment.... but I'm really bad at reading Gerry and I also thought his team read post was not towny at all; team reads would be easy ones for mafia to make and the tone of it (and his other posts) didn't ring town to me.
can you elaborate on this? it seems like you're just reversing your read as you're typing it up. do you think he's mafia, or town?
I don't know but I don't want to lynch him today, especially considering Claire (who was the person most likely to come out with a good reason Gerry is scum beyond the basics) flipped her read on him. I also liked his last couple posts.
Dear Lick, I am not saying I understand why someone would play the way you or, say, lillithonlyknows from last game played earlier (although you've stopped now that RVS is over). I agree that it's a really odd/lame way to play as mafia, too, but I think they have more incentive to do it than town. I've seen it flip both ways but more often town sadly.
I have the same logic about Miku but I see that Gerry has meta on her so maybe I'll sheep that if it comes down to it.
Uranus, I misread you in the past so I've been sort of avoiding outing or forming a real read on you this game... especially after you grabbed a couple TRs out of what looked like thin air early on (although I think one was largely a joke that flew over my head :fufu:). I have been inclined to agree with you a lot outside of those and you seem to be playing differently this game so you're leaning town I guess. I was also trying not to out random reads unless they were at least leaning scum this game and will probably go back to doing that.
Also, why am I being so ignored read wise? I'm not trying to fly under the radar but even Stragger filed me under people he doesn't care about.... what gives?

How I saw it was: Gerry talks a lot and it will be way more useful. The reason I brought Gerry as an example was because he had two votes on him already and I didn't want to jump on that one. Same with Stragger.
Obviously, the goal is to lynch mafia and I am looking for mafia but for the time being I think there are better lynches than those 2.
but that logic is still bad because he could very well be mafia and then because of you not voting to let him be useful, he will be useful in the wrong way as in misleading town lmao.
It's a common thought process to keep people who will create more content but I think it applies a lot less in forum mafia than ruby maf.
its probably the other way around. forum mafia is more about the flip of the person's card than their individual tells. it's a valid thought process it's just that jeff's contradicting himself with the vote he just made
I don't want to ML Gerry today because at 1 point he voiced a sentiment that echoed my own at the right moment.... but I'm really bad at reading Gerry and I also thought his team read post was not towny at all; team reads would be easy ones for mafia to make and the tone of it (and his other posts) didn't ring town to me.

Reasons I SR Jeff: His Push on Ice when Ice has been somewhat towny and are much better votes Him wanting to vote Lick for the most stupid reason I have ever seen and
"I don't want to vote these people because more content"
I don't see myself changing unless he pulls out the "Haha PR! card."
I'm back to this and I think it's my final vote. He disappeared after everyone mildly TR him and I just feel it in my gut.
your vote makes absolutely no sense. you admitted you don't want to vote the people who's been active because they're going to contribute reads later in the game, and going from iceaac's amount of posts he's going to be posting more later. i don't buy that you're only voting him on a hunch
