Well, this is a good idea for Lucid. Change the site layout. The Front page needs Upgrade, the Loby page needs Upgrade.
There's a lot of empty space to the left, but luckily Jeremy Corbyn and Bernie Sanders are leading us into it.
Or it can be moved to the Left. There is lots and lots of empty space to the left.
Given the fact that announcements is by far the longest section, this would probably require some other changes (i.e. maybe the most recent announcement on the top but the overall long box stays there) or else it'd be a bit harder to use certain functions.
But the best would be if it would be possible to reorder the boxes (without, say, additional userscripts). One day... hopefully.
