you're a person i've known for a long time, however in spite of that we only really spoke in groupchats or sometimes occasionally, every now and then, and every conversation i recall was completely worthwhile and that's more than could be said about most of my friendships i've had here. my first impressions of you where that you were a little reserved, potentially shy, because we'd play in games back in reverse lobby when your username was jonsnows yet we stuck to formalities while i'd gotten closer to people like jackattack and lolwot. a few things i recall are you and jack posting on each other's profiles and making me laugh a lot in the process. time passed afterwards and i'd left the site with a pretty high opinion of you, since we'd occasionally chat, but i was completely taken aback, pleasantly surprised and even flattered when you PM'd me asking how i was doing. my current impressions of you are that you are a person that maintains an easily enviable balance of warmness and intellect, a person who's advice is always worth hearing because of how it combines both logic and heartwarming warmth. the most overused compliment i've seen in opinions threads is "you very clearly care about your friends" but i'm going to go ahead and use it anyhow, because that really stands out in you and showcases a lot of character. i think you're a great person to be honest, and it'd be nice to become closer friends with you while time passes
some of these i have a fair amount of exposure to (i.e. gorillaz, jay-z, rihanna, etc.) but this is for exploring discogs
I used to buy all my records from discogs. RIP vinyl era.
Anyway...
Recommendations from your list -
De La Soul 2pac (Me Against The World LP) Common (Resurrection LP in particular, his older stuff was much better) A Tribe Called Quest (and whilst we're at it, basically look into Native Tongues if you've got the time) Mos Def (Look up Black Star though, his work with Talib Kweli was sick)
i think i accidentally forgot to post it but what i said was that basically i really am oblivious as to what your personality is given the fact that i haven't even had an appropriate conversation with you. first impressions are merely first impressions and mine was that you were a nice amiable easygoing guy but i really don't have any deep or longlasting impressions of you
