if the reveal is conditional, the description will say so. Shots from Deputy/Sniper are hidden, for e.g. Sheriff shot always reveals. Role descriptions are pretty specific AFAIK
Had this debate within game. I distinctly remember getting fabbed gun, shooting it and it didn't reveal to have backfired. However, someone said fabbed guns ALWAYS reveal. Would like some clarification on the actual rules because the Fabricator role page doesn't say anything about revealing.
