I've been sitting in lobby waiting for this Poker game to start(https://epicmafia.com/game/4116881 - join up, we need one more!), and Burtonx has started about 4 setups trying to get his gold hearts played. But there's a problem - there is always another setup and it's hosted by Ruse players. At the moment it's prezabama and emiliewu.
However, take a look at the top two Ruse players this round, messi4life and yehet21. Every single one of their last 10 games has been played with multiple other Ruse players: Messi(2 others, 2, 2, 3, 1, 3, 2, 2, 1, 3, 3) and yehet21(3 others, 4, 4, 4, 2, 1, 3, 2, 2, 1, 3).
So as I see it, we have an issue with this family. There are at least two players who are noticeably suspect: Messi and Yehet. They have ignored the mods rule that Ruse players shouldn't play comp together, and have instead consistently continued playing with an average of 2(Messi) and 3(Yehet) other Ruse players in their games.
Meanwhile, burton, Emilie, and Prez(all of whom have played in at least one of those last 10 games above), are making multiple comp setups in an effort to comply with the mod ruling.
Clearly Yehet and Messi shouldn't be allowed to play with other Ruse players, and the approach to the others should possibly be relaxed.

i think that they're kids who i don't want to ban because they don't realize that some of what they do could technically be cheating. they don't seem to be malicious people in general, and i don't feel like they need to be banned if what they're doing can be circumvented by keeping them from playing together

if you want my personal opinion they would very likely get cheating vios if they kept going as they were going. but they're kids. i don't want them to get themselves banned for half a year because of meta abuse, and i feel like the problems that they're causing can be nipped this way. a lot of their games are seriously borderline, and they don't seem to have ill intent. that's what's making the situation less than clear cut. sorry if my using the subject pronoun i made it seem like i was trying to be the one supreme epicmafia god but this wasn't a decision that i made alone
You literally cannot forum suspend people because they're "playing together and you asked them to stop". What if they only can play their hearts at 3 am, when only one table can logically be filled. Are you saying beause you, God, forbid them from playing together they're not allowed to play any games now?

Why did you ask then to stop playing together? It's either they A. Cheated . So ban them or B. Didn't cheat so no ban, meta abusing falls under the cheating if u can prove it. What you are saying is you now have the right to tell people, without real evidence who they can and cannot play with. Why not tell everyone who e date and has e frends not to play together then? why is it now you arbitrarily decide to peactise the role of God, pitifulloser?
they were never formally asked to stop playing together until last night. i told them that if they keep doing it they'll get round suspended. not sure whether there'll end up being a vio for any of them yet but i'll keep looking into it
