Before meteor was a thing, it was considered GTing for maf to kill in 6 way with 3 unkillable clears

That didn't change when meteor was introduced. Meteor is not for punishing the last team that didn't kill, its an anti-stall mechanic.

u know what i don't even care anymore, because irrc you were one of the people who complained profusely about GAI because 1/8 games mafia will be stupid and end up in auto loss do to their own mistakes, so you guys decided to punish the town & allow mafia to force meteor.

basically this game is help mafia as much as u can, playing a good town game isn't rewarded because mods will bail mafia out every time meteor is mentioned.

where do you draw the line for the doc between gting and just plain incompetence? like maybe he was just doing what he thought was intuitively optimal

those are called honest mistakes. you might find those go unpunished

i've had this conversation with a lot of people, devante. there is not one scenario that we've found to exist where "doctor saving on meteor night" is correct or optimal. it's not like i want to change the meta to let mafia kill clears. it's just that it's the only logical conclusion

it should never be incredibly obvious that the doctor is saving on meteor night. it shouldn't ever be assumed that they'll try to lose the game

that's a question that applies to a lot more situations than this one. mods can never really know who's dumb and who's playing dumb. doc saving like this should always at least get noted though

if it's incredibly obvious that the doctor is saving someone even on meteor night, intentionally killing the save is just as bad (but NOT worse) than the doctor's actions

killing doc does not increase mafia's EV, so there is no reason to aim for doc

no clue what EV means, however i'll assume it mens win conditoin. how does killing the doc with a dead cop, no valid reports and leaving only an orc not increase their wincon?

The doc didn't out his save so how does it not increase their wincon? when his save could've easily been killed
