Where to start?

zoopleover 11 years ago

So I've played about 5 or 6 games now and I'm often in over my head. I have looked at the roles and understand them, but find there's a lot of terminology I don't get. I've tried the wiki but that doesn't cover it either. People jump to decisions so quickly and Im finding that a lot of games just aren't fun because people get pushy and you have no time to think.

Can anyone guide me as to where to start. Or maybe PM me, I have some questions id like to ask.

ur stats are coinflip stats zovea, and maxwell didn't cheat. detail me one single reasoned suspicion dude. let's see it. u are what soben used to call a 'gut player' and basically bad

ur a dumbass zovea. even maxwell was always hammering his way through cm games. cm affords u pretty much everything this game has to offer, only with somewhat generous mechanics
Debatable. Did he admit to cheating?

Regardless, his ability to glean reliable information based on the first thing you said was purely his strength and CM only reinforced that. It's not something he would have picked up on if his mafia experience was solely playing CM which seems to be where you're disconnected.

For the average player CM is a coin flip and deciphering between cc's is nothing short of this. I will however acknowledge that there's more depth in the community, however the setup isn't good as a core setup for this site.

so much mafia tells bless, FP the most overrated setup ever you built me into the scum hunter i am today
You're 0/5 in games where I passed you the hammer.

fp is literally one of the best setups when cop dies in FP you can always fos the first person to vote no one and 8/10 times they're mafia.

In FP when someone says gunned? They're usually mafia aswell
I could show you how blatantly bs this statement is but it'd cost me burning one of my alts and I'm not ready for that.

playing the mechanics of this game (which are ridiculously simple) rather than the people in the games is pretty lame bros. might as well be playing tetris or something. classic mafia affords all this site has to offer pretty much, if on a smaller scale than in other setups

nah softing is a pretty flawed mechanic that only works on noobs. I've never seen a good soft in comp

bernin you didn't learn off classic, you learned the basics:
when to cc and not letting someone ever claim your role.
you might've learned about the difference between mylo/lylo and when you have a ml aswell.

The rest though you learned when you went to comp
like what else? :3
not sure lol you wifom a lot more in comp and bus a lot more

but the basic fundamentals is cm

You can also learn to soft

I have more than 100 games in FP, Classic and G&H, and theyre fun setups to learn on. However, the meta to no lynch day 1 is bad.

There are better setups but they never fill. This has been argued before

I'm not saying that any of those setups are good and you'll become a great scum hunter just playing those setups. However they all do give most players basic fundamentals..

Unless you're like this guy you probably won't play multi setup more than 100 times and not venture into another setup

Cop dies n1 and town usually nl's

Mafia nk's quickly to figure out the role of the pr. If the night doesn't end automatically you know the pr is not bomb so if he ml's you can kill him without worrying about hitting bomb .

Blue dies -

There's alot of things you can do it's been a while but I've guilted my partner on day 1 and then had him automatically claim pr. the real pr will likely cc and so will the real cop. It will confuse the town and I've won from my memory almost every game I Did that.

The best way to learn is to play the x2 setups that don't include a gun.

FP is a good setup to learn wifoming there's actually a lot of strategies you can do as mafia

Guns & Hooker is a good setup to learn how to bus your partners.

These are all basic setups, I literally learned before I got into comp lobby on Classic mafia (FP wasn't around at the time)
I joined competition literally right when I Got to 1500 points years ago and I learned everything pretty quickly.
Some losers don't leave the setup though
