Not this time, no. By you people I mean the generation of comp players left after the original splitting of the lobbies and anyone that came up playing DLYV. The problem with this generation is that instead of fostering meta and solid mechanical play, they relied on reads and ate as methods of playing the game, which in turn has led to the "self vote and hope the clear hammers right" mentality going on in red heart games.
The party game mafia is literally a pvp game. I tried it once with my friends after having played this for a while, but it was too easy because I could literally just go down the line and ask "what did you do last night" to everyone present just to read faces. I used this method of forcing mechanical errors heavily during the 2 rounds I was active because no one playing currently has an experience playing directly against themselves from game to game.
That being said, if someone makes a mistake in game everyone should notice it and everyone should make use of it until that player fixes that mistake. That's how you foster good play and good players.
And DLYV is probably why you weren't sucked into farming CM. We really need to find a DLYV because at its core it forces you to be invested in winning games as any role, not just as power role. I think it can resurrect the villager role, something the FP farmers have worked to destroy.

And FTR, A&D was basically blacklisted because mods were trying to make an example that guns shouldn't be allowed in competitive play. The worst thing about it is that the campaign was basically driven by Kyle who, objectively speaking, is a complete idiot. Not to mention the fact that the debate surrounding guns and A&D was full of disagreement towards the changes, even at the time that it was relevant.
One cannot really understand how the mods were happy enough to blacklist A&D, even though it was a popular setup to run on for many rounds. Especially if you consider that they allowed the likes of Manhunt, Armed & Vested and SK vs Mafia in to the competitive bracket following such a nonsensical removal of A&D.
