No, I'm 100% positive that you told me I could cheat in your skype chat because it was a safe zone. In fact there were numerous banned users in that skype chat who you did not ban even though you were aware of their alts.

win condition changing mid-game is bad for competitive games because in order to account for every plausible outcome of night actions, you must consider the scenario where your win condition changes, while still having the original win condition. this leads to times where playing to your [role's] win condition isn't playing to your [personal] win condition

i looked at nighthawks games and didn't find anything indicative of cheating
there was a user killernighthawk who was banned for cheating but i don't think they were the same person

I made a difficult, controversial decision. I stuck to my guns. But I did it because I thought they didn't cheat, not because of the possible "PR" ramifications

yeah, but i for one think it was really obvious even without empire confirming that nighthawk had flagrantly lied to the mods (which i never believed since i'm an IRL lie detector)

I didn't want to ban them on little evidence. Everyone's innocent until proven beyond a reasonable doubt that they're guilty, and everything we had was circumstantial. and you didn't have that empire testimony until the next round started. I also felt that confirmation bias was a big factor (but I'll admit that it was for me too)
Did I make a mistake? Quite possibly, but I wish people would stop saying I didn't ban nighthawk for "PR" purposes because that's ridiculous.
