your head is in the right place but these topics are useless in the grand scheme of things when GD covered it so much cleaner and easier
if someone wants to create an area of interest they usually make a topic, so im certain if someone has a craving for posting their food and drinks they could just do it in GD?
have you guys never been on another forum... these are all pretty normal boards on any forum

Scrolling Down is why these are a problem. It's horribly user unfriendly, and that's on a 1080p monitor. I shudder to think what people on older resolutions have to do to use the forums now. If you want all these new subforums, put them at the bottom under Complaints. Then don't be surprised when nobody uses them. Because they're pointless.
The aim is to make the forums more inviting for NEW players, not for the already active niche. Hopefully with more obvious areas of discussion, people can connect and find other people they have shared interests with.

the only way this could work out is if you try to populate these sub-sections and im pretty sure the demand for food and drink is low

The (Comp/Main) forums (Excluding the two pinned forums) have been decreasing in activity and posts for over two years. Further dividing everything is a great way to make that Even Worse
We've taken the most popular subjects of threads and given them their own subforum. You guys had no problem with Video Games, i'm not sure why these are such a problem.
