well, i do think i got the respect i thought i should have, and if you're all secretly disrespecting me, that's fine. i was fully aware of how i was posting as a moderator, and i told both bronto and vancy that i wasn't going to change my posting habits because of i was a mod. slow does have a point though, and i really don't blame him. he put in countless hours doing cheating investigations and when he wasn't doing that he was slaying reports, and i don't think that should be disregarded just because he said a few harsh things

I should've clarified. I meant I don't think you're aware of why you didn't get the respect you thought you should have had as a mod and that the reason is because of your posting while you were still in that position

i don't think i've seen slow treat any of you badly aside from justrec. the way he talks to most of you is the same way he talks to me. that's just his personality. me and him are pretty blunt and to-the-point dudes.

i'm also trying my hardest not to argue for him, but you all keep on dragging him into the conversation

yes, i want to be modded in the future. i told vancy that when i left. being a mod stopped being fun for me and i didn't enjoy being around the people i modded with. when i feel like that can change, i'll reapply to be a mod and go through the same process everyone else has to. if they decide to choose me, then that's their agenda. they'll probably choose me because of my sick credentials, though

I feel like retti was the one to say that this was getting away from what the pastebin was actually about, so i'll try to redirect my thoughts back to it. I'll leave with this

Slow said in the opening line of the pastebin, "Modding sucks because you're doing a volunteer job without pay where you spend excess amounts of your free time dealing with people who do not appreciate you and tend to be some of the worst clientele." I'm gonna focus on the "do not appreciate you" part. The mods do their job, and it's basically impossible to please everyone while doing so. So you're not gonna have everyone like you. This should probably be expected by now, someone's always gonna be mad at you. But you know how you can make people appreciate you a little bit better? Have a positive attitude, treat people with respect even if they don't give you the same treatment. I dealt with slow one time with a modding situation, and his comments weren't very respectful to me. Gave me a bad taste in my mouth about him as a user and as a mod. His forum posts, while not directed towards me, gave the air of being a tad douchey/snobbish. Didn't affect me personally, so i never bothered with it really. I'm sure he did a fine job modding, i know he was heavy on cheating investigations. But personally, the way he dealt with me the one time i had to deal with him, did not imply respect.

So i guess the TL;DR of this is, you can't expect people to respect you if you don't give them the similar respect in the first place.

i've never made a thread like this, and i never said i was happier not being a mod. i don't know where you two are coming up with this stuff.

well frankly, i decided not to challenge your statement that slow treats people like sh*t because i know you have friends that i like that will back you up. i 100% agree with retti that slow is a good dude but that's not worth arguing with you about. so i instead decided to comment on how you took the chance to rail on a dude you don't like. frankly, i find it really sad that you are surrounded by so many people that i like/respect but are the way you are.

sims what i said was in regards to you and Slow's modship. you're both a lot happier not being mods so i'm glad you decided to leave because you shouldn't do something that makes you miserable

My thing is, don't have a douchey personality then make this thread. If you're fine with the backlash, do whatever you want as a mod since you're allowed to do it on epic mafia apparently. But when these threads are made and you are someone like slow or sims, no. Just stop.

i never had issues with people not treating me with respect. i've never complained about it. i'm not slow, i don't share that complaint with him. what i do think is that the mods in general don't get enough cooperation when it comes to appeals and forum posting, but that can be worked on.

most people that i interacted with one on one when i was a mod, whether they wanted to know why i gave them a vio or whatever, i treated respectfully, and they gave me the respect back. most people considered me a good mod, also. (:
